I participated in a charity golf outing at Giant Oak Golf Club, and what should have been a fun day supporting a great cause turned into a frustrating and embarrassing experience. After we had already started golfing, managers approached our group and told me I couldn't wear my sleeveless American flag shirt and that I had to put on a sweatshirt. If the course has a dress code, that's their right—but nowhere on the course's website or the charity event flyer was a dress code mentioned. Had we known ahead of time, we would have dressed accordingly. You can see from the photo what we were wearing. Aside from myself who was forced to put on a sweatshirt. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the managers continued to approach our group multiple times throughout the day. My wife was wearing a golf dress with exposed shoulders, and our friend was wearing a sleeveless golf top with a golf skirt. Instead of simply addressing the issue once before play began, we were repeatedly singled out, making us feel embarrassed and unwelcome during a charity event. As a disabled veteran, I found the entire experience especially disappointing. We were there to support a good cause, enjoy a round of golf, and have a good time—not to be repeatedly confronted over a dress code that was never communicated beforehand. If Giant Oak Golf Club expects guests to follow a specific dress code, they should clearly post it on their website, include it on charity event information, and address any issues before players tee off—not interrupt guests throughout the round. Unfortunately, the staff's handling of the situation completely overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable event. I won't be returning, and I hope the course takes customer service and communication more seriously in the future. Update: The owner responded stating our group was only approached twice and was not repeatedly approached throughout the day. Unfortunately, that is not an accurate representation of our experience. Members of our group were approached four separate times regarding attire during the outing. We fully respect a golf course's right to have and enforce a dress code. Our concern has always been the lack of clear communication beforehand and the inconsistent enforcement we witnessed throughout the event. Had the policy been posted on the website or included with the outing information, we would have gladly complied. Instead, repeated interruptions during a charity event overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable day supporting a great cause. We stand by our original review.

Course is always in great shape and prices are reasonable. If there are leagues playing when you want to get a tee time, they always have the Executive Course available for a quick 9.

I don't suggest going here, Carrol is very pushy, four hours for 18 holes with three people is a good time (sorry we arent professionals). According to her I guess we should of been done in 2 hours. Hot dogs were horrible so I would pack food or order because the clubhouse food is wretched. Plenty of other places around the area that are better to go to then here. Just all around not a good place, won't be back.

My favorite course around. The Executive par 3 course is as beautiful as the 18 hole course. Well maintained, clean clubhouse and friendly staff. I love that the Exec is always easy to get in to last minute when there is a sudden change in weather allowing for an impromptu round.
