Designed by the renowned golf architect Arthur Hills, the Golden Fox of Fox Hills is completely different from the traditional tree-lined American parkland courses. Challengability:⭐⭐⭐ (distances) Landscapability:⭐⭐⭐ (golden fescue grasses) Sophisticatability:⭐⭐ (garbage bin as hole sign boards ?) Instead, it features an open, boundless, sweeping Scottish links-style layout. The fairways are framed by rolling mounds, intentionally planted tall golden fescue grasses (why it's named Golden Fox), vast wetlands, and deep, punishing bunkers. Walking the course gives you the distinct illusion of playing golf in central and southern Germany. (Currently working there) As every hole is pretty much the same, plain and simple, even though there's few holes with water 💦, but generally speaking, the similarities between holes is high, especially the Front 9. Hole 4, 292 yards Par 4, distance is not the problem, but to divide the entire hole into 2 shots, each for 170 yards, accuracy is the required. Hole 8, 484 yards Par 5, with the pond in front of the green, your 3rd shot as the approach one is a challenge. I like the Back 9 better, as it's with more tweaks and fun. Starting from Hole 10, 352 yards Par 4, with the blind spot, you have to lay up at around 240 yards, and your 2nd shot is around 140+yards facing uphill to the green. Hole 11, 459 yards Par 5, your tee off have a blind spot on the left, and your 2nd shot is looking at a small dip in front of the green 💚, either full throttle to get on the green or get ready for a chip. Hole 16, 392 yards Par 4, with a pond in front of the green, if you're a seasoned player, then it shouldn't be a problem for you.

We had our May 16 2026 wedding at The Sunmerhouse at Fox Hills and we had a wonderful experience! It was the most beautiful venue and everything went better than we could have imagined. The food was tasty, the drinks were flowing, and the staff were friendly. A fun little find was the staff members took a picture in our Photo Booth which was a pleasant surprise when we were looking through the album. The grounds made it possible for us to get so many stunning pictures. Catie was always very prompt in responding to any questions we had. We had some specific requests, such as a golf cart for a family member to use and they accommodated us easily. Looking back it was a perfect day.

Fox Hills (Summerhouse) was the perfect wedding venue. Our point of contact leading up to the event was Catie. She was so easy and fun to work with - she responded to my many questions very promptly and thoughtfully, and found ways to accommodate all of our requests. She was kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process! The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for - it felt an outdoor garden party turned wedding. The wood, string lights, and chandeliers create a warm, romantic atmosphere. The open walls let our guests wander in and out throughout the night, enjoying the night air and then returning to party on the dance floor. In terms of offerings, it was really nice from a planning perspective that there was a lot included in the base package (cheese and crackers, coffee, chairs, tables, linens, etc) but you could add on or adjust as much as you like. It made planning less intimidating, but also gave us space to be creative where we wanted! The staff was extremely professional and attentive to us and our guests all night. Our guests told us they liked the food and drinks! I would highly recommend!

This is hands-down the nicest set of golf courses in SE MI that I have been to. If you like well-maintained everything, you should golf here. They offer five courses. One super fancy I haven't played (pricey), and four others that are fancier than most. There is a short game par 3 course that is fun as well. The three regular 9 hole courses give me options of what I'm in the mood for. Lakes? Hills? Woods? The carts are the best around. I can't stand clunky golf carts. Plus, they help you keep score AND show a map of the hole on THE SCREEN in the cart It's really cool. I'm so proud to be on a league at this place. It brings a great bunch of people together. I'll always call this my home course.

My husband booked Mother’s Day brunch here and it was absolutely perfect. Sometimes Mother’s Day brunch is overstimulating and chaotic but here it felt so relaxing and enjoyable. All the details were immaculate. A complimentary Photo Booth, music at the perfect volume, friendly and attentive staff and beautiful scenery. The food was delicious, especially for buffet food. Most buffets are cold or rushed but every single item was delicious, down to the coffee. The options were endless and even the kids were happy. I will point out that it’s pricey but comparable to other higher end brunch options for the day. Thinking of making it our yearly tradition! Thank you!
