Took the trip to see the elk on the spur of the moment to break up the winter blues. Great trip. Elk viewing was a little short due to the temperature outdoors, but otherwise really enjoyed the time. Dinner was spot on. Everything was delicious. The room we had was nice, clean and we made it warm enough to suit us for the night. Breakfast was delicious order from the menu,, not a buffet. I really liked that. I wish I would've read some reviews though, I would have brought some cash instead of paying for everything on a card. I would have loved to left a tip for our tour guide, wait staff and bar team, but had no cash on hand. It's not close to an ATM as far as I could tell.

Got an excellent deal on GroupGolfer, We were there for the golf. Rooms were great. Course was in excellent condition! Had a great time! Will be doing the same this year.

We loved the elk tour and that dinner and wine tasting was awesome. The room was spacious and rustic like we expected. The breakfast buffet was good but need to rearrange the food table so you can get around it on all sides. I had a large to go hot tea so I would not run out. Our waitress was excellent but there were 50 of us and 1 of her. Coffe and tea station would help.

I’m giving this experience 3 stars, but it honestly would have been a 5-star review if it were based solely on the resort itself. The staff at Thunder Bay Resort were incredibly kind and considerate throughout our stay. The accommodations were comfortable and reasonably priced, making it a great value overall. The elk viewing experience was absolutely amazing, and Jeff and Jason made it even more enjoyable...they were entertaining, engaging, and a lot of fun. The dinner on Saturday night was truly outstanding and one of the highlights of the weekend. Unfortunately, the murder mystery portion of the weekend did not meet expectations. Our group ended up being paired with another team that was extremely competitive, demanding, and, at times, rude. This really took away from what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing girls getaway. We were not informed ahead of time that our group might be combined with others due to size, which would have helped us set expectations going in. Additionally, the instructions for the murder mystery game were unclear. As first-timers, we would have appreciated a more thorough and concise explanation of how the game works and what the rules were. It made it difficult to fully engage and enjoy the experience. Overall, the resort itself is wonderful and offers a lot of great experiences, but better communication and clearer guidance for the murder mystery event would have made a big difference.

Murder Mystery weekend was so much fun! Elk viewing, gourmet dinner and wine tasting. Such a great package at a very affordable price. Can’t wait to do it again!!!!
