Description

Apple Mountain Golf Course is a popular public course known for its dramatic elevation changes and sweeping views. The layout features several downhill tee shots that create exciting visual moments and scoring opportunities. Fairways are generous, but approach shots often demand precision due to sloped greens. The course balances fun and challenge, making it appealing to a wide range of golfers. Apple Mountain consistently delivers a memorable round with strong value.

All photos are taken and distributed by Be Photographed. Apple Mountain is a beautiful Michigan wedding venue, especially in the fall. When I take photos here, the October colors create the most stunning backdrop — Karla and Nate’s wedding day was the perfect example of how well this venue photographs. The getting-ready spaces, ceremony site, and reception area are all conveniently close to each other, which makes the flow of the day smooth and easy for both couples and photographers. My only concern during this visit was that two individuals drove a golf cart behind the ceremony right as the couple shared their first kiss, which was unfortunate timing. Thankfully, I was able to edit them out of the photos, but it would be great if the golf course limited traffic during ceremonies in the future. Overall, Apple Mountain is a scenic, well-maintained venue that offers incredible opportunities for wedding photography — especially during Michigan’s fall season.

Very scenic. The staff is very nice. The course is in country club condition. The front 9 is a little nicer than the back 9. The only downside we had was there were 4 holes in a row where they had mowers going in the late morning which can get very distracting after your first missed hit. We also had lunch on site after the round. It was good and the staff was nice there as well.

First time golfing here and I will say the course and facilities are very nice. I booked an open tee time for 18 holes with my son at 5 pm and the Marshall started us right on time. He warned us there was large group playing a scramble but we should be good. We made it to the second hole and the back up began. To make a long story short, by the sixth hole we had 4 different groups waiting to go. The Marshal came by and checked on what the hold up was but it was one of those it is what it is deals. By the time we made it to the ninth hole we knew there would be no way we were getting 18 in, not even close. The Marshal, by the way very nice, informed us that the scramble group wasn’t making the turn but there was a group in front of them that we were probably going to catch. I explained our situation to him and he was very understanding and told us the pro shop was closed but to give them a call in the morning and give them his name, explain that there was several amateurs in front of the large scramble group that would not allow us to finish, and see what they could do. We called in the morning to explain everything and also made them aware we left after nine holes. We asked if there was anyway they could do anything like a refund for nine or allow us to hit the back nine so we actually get what we paid for. The only thing they could say is “sorry about your experience but all sales are final and we don’t do vouchers.” I get you’re running a business and I get that you also can’t control everything that happens all the time but when things don’t go the way they should you would think that they would at least try to make it right? The place isn’t cheap, but it is very nice and I would think that they would want to have repeat customers coming back but I guess not? Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Course is in solid shape, but the $74 “twilight” rate is insane. No walking rate is a shame it would be a great walk for 15-16 holes. This is a $80 course at best during peak season.
