The bathroom situation needs to be updated. There is ONLY ONE old toilet for women that feels like a outhouse, for the entire course (other than a porta-potty or two). Other than that, the course is in great condition

Rouge park is a hidden gem Detroit golf course. Staff is always friendly. Price is always right. They are actively working on improving the grounds. Greens are rolling great and holding. The cups are not down far enough. Causing lip outs. But that could be fixed easily as of 5-6-26. Rouge park has a great mix of holes that you can blast away on, and holes that you really have to place your shots or you’ll find trouble. Overall such a challenging and fun course to play.

This place is special! The fact that you can play a Donald Ross designed course that’s well maintained at these prices is nothing short of amazing! I reside in Detroit, I love it here. The City of Detroit has a whole host of problems but this place isn’t one of them. The place is actually taken care of like somebody gives a damn! The clubhouse is nothing special. It’s clean but it’s old. The Hot Dogs are great. The scenery is surprisingly impressive, you will have no idea you’re in the City of Detroit through about 90% of your round. The people are friendly and I think you’ll be surprised at the quality of the golfer you’ll run into. This place is crawling with amazing ball strikers and nice people. Bonus: the range manager last I heard was a man name Rico. He was for years Hal Suttons golf caddie. He gives an amazing lesson and he’s priced about like the golf course “like I feel like I’m stealing something when I pay him for the lesson” to make up for this I recommend that you give him a fat tip if for no other reason than your conscious.

Our family hosted a Memorial Golf Outing today 6.6.26 honoring our brother Joe who passed away 10yrs ago to the day, at 46 years old. We cannot say enough good things about not only the entire planning but the day of staff and the care that they gave us. From start to finish, from the Golfing to the Pavillion use to the incredible compassion the entire staff showed us and the support they provided. Special shout outs to Devante and Katie who were available with a smile every step of the way. You made the day better and for that we are eternally grateful.
