Been here twice for company golf outing - very nice course with understanding rangers that didn’t pressure us too much. Absolutely beautiful first hole. Accommodated our large groups well

Pine Knob Golf Club is really a beauty at the Clarkston, it has three 9-hole courses, Eagle, Hawk, and Falcon, and I played Eagle and Hawk this time. Challengability：⭐⭐⭐ (water hazards) Landscapability：⭐⭐⭐⭐ (beautiful houses) Sophisticatability：⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (condition) Started with 9 holes at Eagle, and was amazed by Hole 1 of it right away. 349 yards Par 4, with the escalated tee way up, you get the view of the entire Clarkston, it's breathtaking. Hole 5, 322 yards Par 4, your 2nd is face a beautiful lake in front of the green, and a line of gorgeous houses in the back of the green, lovely. Hole 7, 305 yards Par 4, to me this is the signature hole of the Eagle 9, the pond in front of the green, plus the little greenish bridge, and the willow trees surrounding, OMG, you're basically playing golf in a world class artworks. Followed by the 9 holes at Hawk. Hole 1 is a nice design to start your 2nd half of the game, 225 yards Par 4, you may simply tee off using your woods, as the green is de-elevated on the left side of end of fairway, lay up for 30-50 yards for a chip shot, should be an easy hole to par. Hole 6, 154 yards Par 3, with a beautiful pond in between the tee box and the green, just the scenery itself already won my heart, not to mention the bunker at the back of the green that reminds you to watch out of your yardage. Hole 7, 392 yards but a Par 5, believe it's the reason of elevated green and all the trees lined up on both sides of the fairway enhance the difficulty, but also the scenery is gorgeous. Overall, Pine Knob is a top-notch course that you can't miss if you're in Detroit area.

It’s a great course. However my threesome was paired up with a single player for our tee time (thats fine) but they only allowed us two carts, so one of us had to share a cart with a complete stranger. They made a group of 3 girls decide on which friend was going to have to share a cart with a man we did not know. Completely unacceptable especially with the price of this golf course. I thought it was a higher class golf course but apparently not.

Called the pro shop and whoever the lady was early in the morning confirmed that I will never play here again. Asked a simple question “hey I was wonder if there were any open tee times as soon as possible for a single to play 18” and was in shock with the amount of attitude I received for such a simple question. Please figure out what to do with this lady, complete disgrace to this course. Mind you this was Tuesday at 9am I called, couldn’t imagine the attitude I would receive if it was a busy day. Do better pine knob. I am going to happily give boulder point my money instead of here.

Played 18 holes on 5/26/26, very nice course. However, pace of play was unbearable. Almost a 6 hour round and at no point was there a starter who drove through to push the groups. Waited damn near 5-10 minutes in between each shot. At one point, I drove up to the tee box and there was already two groups waiting, and a fourth pulled up behind me. Would not return if they don’t enforce pace of play. I get sometimes people have a bad hole and can’t be fast all the time. But the pace never caught up, in fact it felt slower as the day went on.
