If you play golf for the clubhouse, drinks at the turn, or cart service, this isn't the place for you. I have to admit, when I walked into the clubhouse, my expectations were low. But then I got to the first tee and was pleasantly surprised. Each hole is unique and when you are out there, you feel like you are in your own world. The course is one big loop with the 9th hole being the furthest from the clubhouse and most holes feel totally isolated. Such a fun experience....a course that is just for golfing without any of the other distractions. Also, it is totally walkable. The guy in the pro shop gave me a hard time about walking and really wanted me to take a cart but it's honestly only about 7 miles. There is one really long green-to-tee walk (from 2 to 3), 15 to 16 is maybe a little long too, and there are some elevation climbs but it's really not that bad. You just need to make sure you stock up well on water/gatorade.

Tough but really fun Golf Course. Lots of elevation changes you need to make sure you have a good shot every stroke. Really friendly clubhouse , and Great views of the lake on a few holes.

This would have been a great golf course.... about 25 years ago. All the facilities, carts, etc. were in very poor shape. There were some "bunkers" on the course that were overgrown and some ponds that just looked awful. Other than that, the course was in decent shape and was a fun track to play. This course has so much potential with a bit of investment and care. I won't be going back for the high price we paid, unless they make some improvements throughout the property.

Played this course last year, it is and absolute hidden gem. If your are thinking about it book the tee time! Best golf course you can play at that price. Plus you can even take someone who doesn't golf with all the scenery and views the course has to offer! Plus the service and owners are incredibly nice and do what they can to meet your needs.

I want to give this course a 5 stars so bad. It's an absolutely gorgeous course, views and atmosphere wise. You'll be out in the woods and find yourself up on a hilltop with gorgeous views of Lake Charlevoix and beyond. The fairways, tee boxes, and greens were all in decent shape for early June. The club house, carts, and other facilities could use some love. The price felt a smidge high for the course, but it wasn't egregious. What this course really needs is some serious investment, this could be an absolutely top tier golf course with some serious money and love, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be happening any time soon. The course is very challenging and will prove a challenge for even the most adept golfers. Overall I would encourage people to come and at least give this course a shot, but understand it's showing its age and lack of investment.
