I love this place. It’s a William Watson design that oozes history. Note that it’s byob and they have a grill only open 11-2 in the summer. The town of Charlevoix is just down the road to get any provisions.

Golf History! Must see and play!! Modern day golf we love and know today, has influence from Belevedere Golf Club. The course is challenging and fun. There is an aurora of the legends who and still do play here. Course is in great condition considering the wet spring northern Michigan has had. There are signs of the spring still on the course but the overall play is not hindered. Greens are gorgeous and the property is maintained well. Shout out to the grounds crew, clubhouse staff. Everyone working had smiles and help with any of my questions.

This is a course I've had on my list to play for a few years and so decided to make the drive north to play it. And what an absolute delight it was. A very fun track which on the surface seemed quite a basic layout, but once you get going you have to appreciate the absolute exquisite design. There's a reason why this course has hosted the Michigan Amateur a record 41 times since its creation. It has a small driving range with balls available and included with your green fees. There are two greens available near the first tee for chipping and putting practice Set on a beautiful piece of property just south of downtown Charlevoix. The clubhouse is small, but has a wide array of merchandise for sale. Merch is a must as they have one of the best golf logos in the business. Concessions are pretty basic with a small covered area selling hot dogs and other basic sandwiches, soft drinks, etc. No alcohol for sale. There is so much history associated with this course that anyone who knows golf must place this on their 'must play' list when in the area. I can't wait to go back!

Save your money. Plenty of better courses, that actually want you to be there. Ranger asked to pick our balls up and move to the next hole on 6 with no prior warning. Confronted us again on 9 to pick up the pace. We turned in hour and forty minutes...... Then waited on ten for ten minutes and waited on every shot on the back nine and he didn't say anything to the group head of us. Talked to management after the round and they didn't see to care. Told us we needed to understand they are private course. Our group has been doing trips for ten and played most of the top rated courses in Michigan and this was the worst experience we have had in that time. Play literally anywhere else. Let them be the private course they wish they could afford to be.

If you appreciate golf history & traditional courses; this is a must play. You can feel the history. Greens rolled exceptionally well. Rest of course in great shape. Don’t come expecting frat boy vibes or fancy clubhouse. Not the vibe.
