Paying $36 here was pure theft. The greens were a sad joke — waterlogged around the cups to the point my buddy didn’t even bother pulling out his putter. The tee boxes (or what’s left of them) were so overgrown that sticking a tee in was pointless; it felt like hitting out of the rough on the ones that were “maintained.” Maybe this course was decent once, but now it’s an embarrassment to SE Michigan. Even my Jeep would struggle on those cart paths. I don’t enjoy trashing small businesses, but there are plenty of solid courses around for $40–$50. Honestly, I’d have a hard time justifying $25 here. This wasn’t golf — it was robbery with a scorecard.

Great course to play. It's one of my favorites. Only criticisms I have are some of the greens around the cup are patchy and they're already charging summer prices when technically it's still spring.

Haven't went golfing here in years because of horrible conditions. Played today and it seemed it only got worse. Greens are horrible, craters and tons of missing grass. Tee boxes have grass higher than I tee my ball and I use a 2 3/4" tee. The course looks like it was abandoned. Worst part of all, they charge nearly $50 (after a card fee) for a non kept course. Wesburn, Carrington, Sandy Creek are all cheaper and phenomenally better conditions. The course has so much potential but no one seems to care about taking care of it. 10/10 do NOT recommend!

I’m not the type of person to leave reviews. But I’m on hole 6 and have been here for 2.5 hours already. They scheduled multiple foursomes within 3 minutes of each other. I do not recommend this place.

About 7 years or so years ago we had a round booked at Carlton. I hit up my local driving range, bought a new golf glove and went to the course. I had my new glove in the package in my back pocket in the club house which was empty. As i was wsiting for the attendant I noticed they were selling the exact same golf glove. I went over to compare prices and as I was lookikg at them the attendant walked out and asked of I was going to pay for the glove i was trying to steal in my back pocket 😆 I was miffed back then about it but it was just a terrible circumstance and appearance. I was able to find the receipt for the glove from the driving range, which only had a price and date on it but he took my word for it that it wasnt what it looked like. Just a funny story. All that being said the course is not going to on the PGA circuit anytime soon but its a fun neoghborhood course in decent enough shape to enjoy a round at an affordable rate and they will probably have an open tee time for you. I always enjoy playing it. Just maybe dont bring merchandise still sealed in the original packaging into the clubhouse if you didnt buy it there 😆
