I had a very disappointing experience with one of the bartenders at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The bartender (blonde with a bluish tint to her hair, clear glasses, tattoos on her left arm, and a noticeable spray tan) was consistently rude, impatient, and visibly short-tempered. What stood out most was how differently she treated customers. She was warm, smiling, and engaged when talking with certain people and her coworkers, but became cold, dismissive, and irritated whenever she had to help others. It genuinely felt like serving customers was an inconvenience to her. Everyone has bad days, but when you’re working in a customer-facing role, professionalism should remain consistent regardless of your mood or who you’re serving. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. Her behavior created an unwelcoming atmosphere and reflected poorly on the golf club as a whole. I hope management addresses this situation. Based on my experience, I don’t believe she is well-suited for a public-facing position until she can consistently treat every customer with the same level of respect and courtesy.

What a great time! I was a guest and had a great time playing this beautifully laid out course. Amy Pollack, the golf pro, and her team in the shop were fantastic. I was able to get rental clubs easily, a small bucket of balls and they let me know when I could tee off. The course is beautiful, the weather was perfect in the high 50s and climbing (72 @ the end of the round. The tee boxes are well marked, well maintained, course staff was out grooming and cognizant of folks teeing off and they would make way and have small talk with you to make you feel welcomed . The greens are SUPER FAST so it took some adjusting. At the end of the round I was greeted warmly by the staff as I returned my clubs and the cart. I then went to the restaurant and had the burger basket well priced, fries and coleslaw too. Sat at the bar enjoyed the British Open while I ate. Then one of the shop staff came in to remind me I had left my ID in the shop (had to leave it to rent clubs, great Taylor Made clubs too!) All in all it was a great day! Well worth the time to play this course! Hope to come back next year!

Great course, the greens are appropriate fast and the ball follows your read. Beautiful fall golf day with the scenery. The restaurant has a good selection. Had the salmon dinner and it was cooked properly and the sides were delicious.

Been playing here a very long time. Last year, they hardly had any grass outside of the fairways and greens by the end of June. This year, it’s already burnt out and it’s April. Take a look at your own lawn and everyone else’s lawn. Even with just rainwater everything is greener than this golf course. Seems like charging $70+ in peak season should allow them to afford to turn the sprinklers on. The greens and fairways however are usually in good shape, but there is no urgency to fix ball marks and divots (including on the tee boxes). Pace of play can range from 4 to 5.5 hours. It’s a pretty fun course to play and they have a good atmosphere. They need some real groundskeeping and it would be 5 stars!

Called the course to get a tee time. An answering machine came on that said the course was open and they were accepting tee times. Leave a message and somebody will call you back. Left my name and number, but nobody called me back. What lousy customer service. If that’s how they run their business, then the course isn’t even worth my time or money. Lots to choose from in West Michigan, and Boulder Creek is now off the list.
