We played this course through the Island Resort and Casino golf package. And of the four courses (ranked 1-4… Greywalls, Sage Run, Timberstone, Sweetgrass) this was one of our favorite courses and almost our favorite course for our group of 12. Conditions of the course were absolutely perfect and has a good mix of both playable and very scenic holes with elevation both down and back up. Greens and fairways were pristine. Tee boxes are slightly undulated by design which was a small negative. Probably the second toughest course of the bunch. Overall, service was great as well for a Tuesday AM. Would go back in a heartbeat and play Sage Run.

Golfed there on 8/7/26. Course was in great shape. Fun to play with all the elevation changes. Can get a little tight in spots. If you spray it around, you will be losing some balls in the woods and fescue.

Fun track. Unfortunately they allowed for a scramble, and it slowed down the entire course to like a five and a half hour round. Ranger was no where to be found, or at least if he was around, he did not get the players moving. Maybe next time it will be better.

This course is fun to play and you might score but you better be able to keep your ball in the short grass because this course will help you shoot 3 digits without even trying. It's pretty, the people who work here are all very nice and it was a good round of golf.

Awesome golfing experience at Sage Run. This course features dramatic elevation changes and super views. The course is challenging and beautifully playable at the same time. The fairways are excellent. The greens are firm and fast but are pure. This course is definitely a top golf course in the upper Midwest.
