We found this place while on vacation. Since I am a beginner, we chose this place since some reviews said it was laid back. It was perfect! Friendly, no pressure, no tee times, no time limits. Just have fun, which we did. The place is beautiful and we will be back next time we are in town. Cash only.

Fun 9 hole course! Came to Houghton to visit my son, decided last minute that weather was great, lets go golf! Every golf course in the area had tee times late in the day, nothing that morning. Found this course online, and glad we did. The owners were great, got us out on the course ahead of a golf scramble, and we enjoyed the time. Very rustic, but they take care of the greens and tee boxes to the point that they are in great condition. Holes were laid out nicely, with good amount of challenge without being impossibly hard. Had a deer decide to jump out as we were teeing off on the 5th hole which was awesome. We will definitely golf here again.

Love this golf course. One of my favorite places to spend warm summer days. Absolutely the nicest people run the place. Fairways, greens, tee boxes golf carts, hand carts and cart paths kept in good shape with constant upkeep. Like the name “Sandy Pebbles” implies, there is sand and there are pebbles. Don’t be surprised if you need to pick up you ball and move it because of sandy pebbles or a tree root. If you are ok with this, then you are golden. A major plus is there are wild berries everywhere. So if you know where to look you will find some. Also, the tee boxes and holes on the green are constantly being moved so the game is never exactly the same. UPDATE: The course maintenance is great. I've noticed the tee boxes and greens consistently improve year after year. Looking good!

Honest review for the out of towners. Greens are in fantastic shape, which is shocking because the rest of the course is an undermaintained wasteland. $35 for 9 with a cart is way too much. If it was $15, this would at least be a 3 star review.

We had our pre wedding golf scramble at Sandy Pebbles golf course July 26th , they were absolutely amazing to work with, very welcoming and we had the best time ! Highly suggest golfing here!!!!
