Our family has been coming to Cape Cod for summers since the late 80s, and a trip to Highland Light and a round at Highland Links Golf Course have always been essential parts of our tradition. The golf course is a true gem—a fun and challenging links design that never disappoints. The links-style layout offers breathtaking views of the ocean and the iconic Highland Lighthouse from nearly every hole. It's a unique and special experience that you just can't get anywhere else. It’s important to know that due to the nature of a true links course, you won't find pristine, manicured fairways or lightning-fast greens. The rough isn't thick and punishing; instead, it's a course that rewards strategic play and an appreciation for the natural landscape. It's a fun and unique experience every time we play. After our round, a walk to Highland Light and a tour of the lighthouse museum are always well worth it. The history and the views are incredible. While the walk down to the observation deck is nice, it’s worth noting that much of the overgrowth has impacted the view, so you can’t see as much as you once could. Despite this, the combination of the historic lighthouse and the classic golf course makes for an unforgettable day. Highland Links and Highland Light are a must-visit for anyone who loves golf, history, and stunning ocean views.

Highland Links is truly one of a kind — a historic seaside course that feels like stepping back in time. The views of the Atlantic and Highland Light are absolutely stunning, and the natural terrain makes every shot a real adventure. It’s classic Cape Cod golf at its best — raw, windy, and beautiful. The staff is friendly, and the course is well cared for given its age and location. A must-play for anyone who loves the game and New England golf history.

Beautiful links course (the oldest in the U.S.) Fun and challenging with great sight lines to ocean and light house. Early morning round gave amazing sunrise and deer. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, will be back each summer.

Course was in fantastic shape! Some great views of the ocean and light house. Staff was friendly. We had one of the first tee times of the day and were able to walk 9 holes in an hour and a half. Definitely a must play if you get the chance.

Terrific 9 hole public golf course on the outer Cape. Challenging but reasonable, a few holes right along the ocean on top of the dunes. Fun playing nine or go around for 18. Well maintained and always a fun group of golfers. The views over the ocean are spectacular.
