I have no complaints, the staff is friendly, the fairways and greens are pretty much always in good shape and they have grass T boxes unlike a couple of courses I've been. I walk and my uncle has a cart sometimes i spend time looking for my ball we have never been pressured to speed up play. I use to play here 30 years ago and since retirement a couple of years I'm back every week.

Like many other reviews below…. Awful! I would give it a zero if it were an option. I have golfed here many times in the past, never thought it was great or the staff was friendly, but nothing like my last and definitely final experience here. I took my 11-year-old son here for his birthday this past Tuesday. I am not new to golf, but my son is, so I took him at a time I knew would be slow. Staff was unfriendly from the start. We were approached twice during the first hole. First complaining they didn’t realize my son was inexperienced and to make sure we knew not to hold anybody up (nobody in front or behind us waiting). Second, we were approached at the green and told my son was too slow and not so nicely asked to leave (still nobody waiting to tee off). After embarrassing my son, we packed up and returned to the clubhouse. Not sure exactly what their issue with us was, as we were not going slow and definitely weren’t holding anyone up. I have golfed here many times with my husband, brother and friends with no questioning of our speed or skill level. I had to return the next day to retrieve a club I left behind and was treated just as bad, if not worse by the man at the front desk. I wanted to notify upper management of the issue but was informed he couldn’t help and I’d have to call later. Also attempted to question why their website says “for all ages and abilities” when clearly that is not true. Was told it did not say that (by all 3 employees I dealt with) and the manager told me I should have gone elsewhere (screen shot of their website below). They are none of what they claim on their site. My family and newest golfer will never return and happily bring our business elsewhere!

I’ll never bother again! Don’t waste your money. Every time I play I wait 15/20 on the 3rd hole. It ruins the round! Look at all of these people waiting!!! No marshal to be found!

My review is only in regards to the staff because I have not been on the course . My wife has about 15 friends that she introduced to golf and have decided to play at cedar glen Saugus, since they have experienced rude remarks from some staff, I dropped my wife off early one morning and ran in to use the bathroom, when i went back to my car and I was in the process of backing my car up luckily I noticed someone coming up behind my car and didn’t know why so I rolled my window down and said hi can I help you well the response from the staff member was did you pay to golf ? I kept my cool somehow and responded I didn’t even golf. I don’t know if this is the way you operate your course but I realized that’s why people are saying at other courses I play at that you have some rude unprofessional people working for you. I hope that my wife and all her friends spread the word about how rude some staff can be. There are much better places to play nearby like kings rail in lynnfield.
