Sagamore Spring Golf Club is a North Shore classic with real history and charm. The course layout is fun yet challenging, with great elevation changes and well-maintained greens. You can feel the tradition in every hole. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the overall value is excellent for the quality of the experience. A few areas could use a little extra care, but it’s still one of the more enjoyable rounds I’ve had this season.

I had the opportunity to be the first one out at 5AM, great track. Not too many hazards, playable for the average golfer. I recommend it.

I have been coming here since 2016 and the course has always been in great shape and fun to play; I especially enjoy the back 9! Many courses nearby are too dry and sandy, which leads to artificial turf being used for tee-boxes; this is not the case at Sagamore! Wonderful course layout and great staff. I accidentally made a tee-time for Sagamore in Hampton NH, and they were able to get me and my friend to tee-off for 18 holes and contacted Sagamore in New Hampshire for me to remove a no-show fee from my account; incredible customer service!

A decent course with a friendly atmosphere. Grounds are well-kept and it offers a solid round of golf for the price.

If you are a public course golfer who lives north of Boston, I highly recommend making Sagamore Springs (Saggy to many) your home course. As a long time customer, I can see the things that ownership has done over the past couple of years to improve the overall golfing experience. They are succeeding. Management, pro-shop, hospitality, and maintenance staff are all top notch. This year over 20 out of my 40+ public course rounds I have been played at Sagamore and the overall course conditions are at the top even with the amount of play that Sagamore gets. Folks gripe about the pace of play. It is equal to or better than most courses in the area. Sagamore Springs also offers the opportunity for some great competition for those who keep their handicap there. Match and stroke play club championships take place every year and there is also the option to qualify and compete in the prestigious 'Sagamore Cup' with a chance to hoist the revered hardware. If you come to Sagamore and expect a 'private course' experience you might be in the wrong place. Sagamore is golf by and for the people and that's why I will always make this my home course.
