I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here, and it was a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained, offering plenty of scenic spots for portraits and candid moments throughout the day. The natural surroundings give the entire celebration a relaxed, inviting feel that photographs beautifully. The staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly easy to work with, ensuring everything flowed smoothly from the ceremony through the reception. The indoor spaces were comfortable and welcoming, making it a great setting for dinner, speeches, and dancing. If you’re considering a venue in the Groton area, Groton Country Club is a fantastic choice. Great local course that has only been getting better! Shawn has done a great job over the last few years and only made it more enjoyable! Some challenging holes, due to terrain and good greens. Plus the Publick House is awesome. Can’t beat the price!

Great first time there! Awesome 9 hole for a very affordable price for what they offer. Highly recommend to go if in the area

⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely disappointed with our experience at the Groton Country Club pool. I brought my son for swimming practice — he was the only one entering the water — yet I was still forced to pay the full $15 admission fee just to sit on the deck and supervise. Charging non-swimming parents the same rate as swimmers is unreasonable and frankly feels like a money grab. It got worse when I asked for a kickboard for my son to use. A kind staff member initially gave us one, but moments later another employee came over and told us that no equipment is allowed unless it’s during an official swim lesson. This makes no sense. My kid was surprised with the behavior of the staffs. I will consider this is kind of mean. These rigid, unwelcoming policies completely defeat the purpose of using a community pool for learning and skill-building. I expected better and will seriously reconsider returning — and I wouldn’t recommend it to other families looking for a supportive environment for young swimmers. I immediately left the facility and drove to nearest YMCA to give my kid the required support. He did his swim practice and with kick board from the YMCA without any extra charge for me or the kick board. My suggestion for this the management is to put a balance between people and money .

I had come to eat and play a round. However my experience turned me right away. In the front you can see the putting green and from my assumption the last hole, next to it is a big hill. I wanted to walk up the hill to just see the course from the top, as I was excited. However I didn’t even make it to the hill when a man called me over. I mistook this interaction as a friendly how are you and was very wrong. This older gentleman then preceeded to ask me what I was doing so I told him. His answer was a very stern and rude “ I work here that’s not allowed” and I simply just asked why. His answer was to rudely and coldly say to me “ I work here and said so”. I then asked well what’s the difference between those people (I pointed to people walking the hill) and me walking. He then said again “I work here walk away”. I then walked away as it wasn’t going to argue with this older gentleman. However this experience was awful, especially disappointing after the wonderful meal and kindness I was met with from the staff at the “restaurant”. Be mindful as you play here
