Worst course I’ve ever played on. Showed up to play 18 with carts. Carts weren’t allowed out that day due to rain the previous day, but we were never notified beforehand. Course was an absolute mess with patchy greens and water everywhere. We also had asked if we could play as a group of 5, to which they said no which we respected, but then they put us in a group of 6 with two random people and let 6 play after us. Staff is inconsistent and doesn’t seem to care.

I've played here twice this season. It is in rough shape. But it's a good value for twilight golf. If you're just looking to get some swings in and walk a quick 9 or 18 this is the place to do it.

Ponkapoag Golf Course might genuinely be the worst course me and the boys have ever touched. Fairways looked like they hadn’t been maintained since the Great Depression, greens rolled like a parking lot, and somehow the rough was better than the actual course conditions. On top of that, they wouldn’t even let me drink a beer while playing like I’m out there training for the PGA Tour or something. Honestly, we would’ve had a better time sitting on the commuter rail for 4 hours straight than wasting money here. If you enjoy mud patches, slow play, and disappointment, this is the place for you.

First time playing Ponkapoag Course #2 and had a great experience. Staff was friendly at check-in and the starter was helpful getting everyone out. I was paired with two longtime players who knew the course well and shared some great course knowledge throughout the round. The course had a few rough areas and some replacement greens, but overall it was very enjoyable and offered a good challenge. Pace of play was excellent for a Sunday morning, and everyone I encountered was friendly and welcoming. It was my first 18-hole round of the season, and I finished with an 84. Overall, a great day on the course. No complaints. ⛳

This is a great practice course. I was able to walk 9 and get a small bucket of range balls for $22. In a world where one bucket of range balls at Granite Links is $16 and other nearby par 3 courses with no range charge $28, that's a fantastic deal. If you plan on keeping score, you'll be upset when you land your ball on the "green" on a par 3, only to walk up and realize your ball is also in a patch of gravel. There are no water stations, benches, or ball cleaners. Keep your expectations low and you'll be pleased.
