Well maintained course that is professionally run . Greens were fast and the fairways were well kept. The pro shop was stocked and the prices were fair for the conditions. Beautiful view and even some goats were visible. They do not have a driving range but they do have a putting green. If you need to warm up it will have to be on the course. They also do not have a beverage cart running and little to no refreshments available other than at the mid point so bring your water and ice. Still was a nice day and fun with some challenging holes. They do have electronic equipment for score and distance. I would recommend this course for all that are in town looking for a professionally run course.

Good golf course located in a quiet neighborhood in Braintree. Staff are friendly. Holes have personality. Greens have tons of undulations and are running smooth. Lots of trees, water, and no houses. Course is in fantastic shape.

Didn’t let me cancel my tee time even though it was pouring rain outside. Charged me a no show fee for not wanting to play in rain. Course itself is very nice though

Braintree Municipal Golf Course offers good value for the money, and the course itself is usually in solid condition. Unfortunately, pace of play continues to be a major issue and significantly impacts the overall experience. The biggest problem is that many groups on the course simply cannot maintain a reasonable pace. It’s common to see players struggling to advance the ball, taking an excessive number of strokes per hole, searching for lost balls for 5+ minutes and creating backups throughout the entire course. As a result, rounds regularly stretch 5+ hours, which is far beyond what should be expected for an 18-hole round. While I appreciate the recent rule restricting the back tees to lower-handicap golfers, it does not appear to have made a meaningful difference. The course still experiences severe congestion almost every time I play. The ranger staff needs to take a more active role in managing pace of play. This could include enforcing pace standards, encouraging slow groups to pick up their pace, implementing a maximum score per hole, or asking groups that repeatedly fall behind to skip holes and catch up. Without consistent enforcement, the pace of play will continue to frustrate golfers and detract from an otherwise enjoyable course. The course conditions are good, but until pace of play is properly addressed, it’s difficult to fully recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised by this course. The conditions were great and I loved the layout. Definitely one of the better public courses Ive been to in Mass.
