Sligo Creek is known as a shorter, walkable, community-oriented course where accuracy and short game tend to matter more than raw distance. The layout generally keeps you engaged with frequent scoring chances, but it can also punish sloppy wedges and careless putting. Because the course is more compact, it often plays quickly and suits golfers looking for a time-efficient round. It’s also a great venue for working on course management—choosing smart targets and avoiding the one big mistake. Sligo Creek feels like classic local golf: approachable, fun, and surprisingly challenging if you take it lightly.

Well maintained. Great staff. Totally worth it. The manager literally went above and beyond to accommodate the tee time issue we had. I'll be back to play tones of times in summer!

Nicely kept greens. Good 9 hole course.

I was excited about visiting the DC area to discover its different FootGolf courses and this one is really great. The course is smartly designed, and very well maintained. The location is beautiful as well. I’ll definitely be back. The Miami area, where I live now, sadly and inexplicably doesn’t have FootGolf courses less than 2 1/2 hours away.

Very easy and short (no holes over 414 yds) nine-hole course that is one of the Montgomery Country golf courses. The last four holes are trick holes. 6 and 9 have a creek across the fairway about 210-220 yds out, however if you lay up with more than a 7 or 8 iron, the extremely down sloping fairway will still put you in the creek. 7 and 9 are doglegs such that unless you drive at least 250 yds, you can’t get around the heavily wooded bend and reach the green in two. Good condition, friendly clubhouse, and inexpensive. It was uncrowded (played by myself) on midweek afternoon. Great little warm-up course.

Sligo is a nice 9 Hole course. The staff is excellent. They are the most friendly staff of any club I've played. the crew works hard to keep the greens nice. It's not a long course but can provide challenges.
