Every year I give it a try or two to see if it’s in any better shape. Somehow it gets worse. For $70 you get ok greens, 3 inch long fairways that are as thin as my hair and hard as concrete. Rough is either just hard dirt or weeds that are even thinner than the “fairways”. Cart paths will herniate your discs and rupture your hemorrhoids. Everything else about the property like the pool, range, and clubhouse look worse and worse every year. Great tight and challenging layout. So much potential. Hopefully one day it can get water and care it deserves. If it was a value, I wouldn’t complain, but 70 is crazy for these conditions!

Enjoyed my first time here. Course was very hilly. I only played the front 9. Greens were in good shape. This course lends itself to loosing balls.

The course really needs a lot of care and attention from the tee boxes to the greens. The fairways, well I’m not really sure you can truly call them fairways, need major overhaul. The grass is too long, there’s too much white clover, causing you to constantly go hunting for your ball, and poor drainage. $40 for 18 holes is a little too high for this course right now, but what’s really insane is the cost of a golf cart at $28.44 per person 😳. Will I play this course again, not in the current condition. Hopefully someone will take it over and give it tender care it needs

I played Sunset Ridge two days in a row this week with two different friends. Although the greens were understandably slow and some have experienced winter damage, we all found it a fun course to play. The course is located in an attractive area and has several pretty and well-designed holes that are as challenging as any I've seen in Maine, especially from the back tees. Although we saw several players walking the course, I'd encourage taking a cart if you are not in very good shape. There are several elevation changes throughout the course and one particularly long distance between the 10th green and 11th tee. You won't find pristine conditions at Sunset Ridge, but you will find a course that will challenge you and if you're lucky you will see a Bald Eagle watching over you on some of the holes.

Good spot, small 9 hole disc for only $5, traditional golf and a driving range as well. Disc course is a bit wet due to low land. Short holes. Longest is 450. Only downside is it's on a busy road, a lot of traffic. I'll go back
