This historic 9-hole course (par 36, over 3,000 yards) on Moosehead Lake is accessible only by boat or ferry, adding a unique adventure to the golf experience on what was once sacred Native American ground and home to the grand Mt. Kineo House hotel. It offers stunning scenic beauty with lake and mountain views from nearly every hole, combined with a classic layout that features challenging elements like elevation changes and strategic play. The course is well-regarded for its conditioning, friendly staff, and timeless Maine charm that captivates players. Golfers praise the amazing scenery, polite service, and the special feel of playing in such an iconic, remote location. A must-play bucket-list gem blending history, isolation, and natural splendor in the Maine Highlands.

Incredible views, amazing experience, mt kineo looms over the course withan incredible force. Truly a round for the ages bucket list thing, we played 18 and enjoyed it. It was expensive, the course not perfect but very playable, more of an experience as a whole than just a golf course.

Memorable, quick ferry ride to the "Rock"! A thing of beauty. Grab your clubs and walk ( 300yds ) up to the golf shop. Turn around and you see the 1st hole. Walk in to the welcoming staff. Quick and easy check in. Grab a card and off you go. Fantastic layout, fun small sloping greens with the par 3 greens a bit larger. A 9 hole Course that gives you the itch to play the next 9. Great condition with heart felt care and maintenance. Get a steamed red hotdog, bag of chips and a beverage. Sit on the deck and notice the large birch tree growing out of a tree stump. Magic in its self. A must if you visit the area. Just Doit!

Beautiful views on the course. Fairways and greens were in rough shape, but the views more than made up for it.

I'm not a golfer, so I can't review the holes, but the scenery is awesome and the clubhouse is open to everyone--golfers, hikers, sit-arounders. I enjoyed an ice cream sandwich after a long, hot hike.
