If you’re not a member, don’t expect to be treated fairly. Some members are very rude, hit balls towards you, etc. Then the owner will side with the members and make you at fault. Maybe just a rare occasion, but that’s what I experienced.

Great 9 hole course. No driving range, which is really my only complaint. The practice green is small, but nice. Lots of elevated tees and greens complexes, make sure to remember the wind if it’s blowing. Greens can be very difficult depending on pin locations, not many bunkers but there are some deep ones that require a committed swing to get up and down. The 8th is a par 4, but a good swing can get on in 1 and give you a chance at eagle, just pay close attention to the wind unless you’re highly interested in searching the woods for your ball. I have mentioned wind twice, and for good measure I’ll mention it again: wind can turn a solid 8 iron into a 6 iron in a split second on this course. Play smart golf and it’s loads of fun and plenty of challenges without being miserable.

This place is a gem! Just started and it’s a really nice course with little pressure for beginners.

Going to an out of town golf club where you don't know anybody can be an intimidating experience, especially when one is an inexperienced amateur. I've never been a regular golfer, but I have a young teenager who decided he was into it at the tender age of 5. Over the years, I tried, off and on, to facilitate his interest, not being sure how serious to take it, and it's not always convenient or affordable. This past week has been his first Maine vacation. He wasn't into swimming, hiking, or fishing, and was secluding himself in the camper all day working on his computer when I thought to offer him a day of golfing. We had a WONDERFUL day at this place! We were able to rent everything we needed for a mother/son golf day at a reasonable price. We were obviously rookies, but he was very serious about it. I wouldn't have taken him if he wasn't, and the guys at this club were so helpful and encouraging! Thanks to the great experience we had at this club, we're considering coming back to Maine next year feeling confident that he has a sport he can enjoy here. I noticed they even offer a youth camp in August, which probably won't work with our schedule, but if you're up here in early August and have a young teenager that is interested in trying golf, I highly recommend this club. They have won me over. I'm excited to go again, and am looking forward to improving my game!

Great little 9 hole course! Off the beaten path somewhat but worth going. Friendly staff, decent lunch list and not expensive to play. I'll play there again for sure.
