Great municipal course. Practice facility is excellent with 2 separate chipping areas. Course is long, nearly 7k yards from blue tees. Greens are fairly soft but run true and smooth and are in great shape aside from some trouble spots. Fairways are above average overall. Pace of play is extremely slow, I have yet to see a marshal. Also, lots of ball marks in greens left without repair. A marshal or two would go a long way out there to help educate etiquette and improve pace of play. $30 weekdays including cart, incredible deal

Chennault is my local course so I play there a lot. It is a fun and laid back course with its own challenges. I have seen improvements over the years but there are still some issues, which likely stem from people mistreating the course combined with poor maintenance. The greens will be stellar one week and pitiful the next but its apparent they are putting efforts to improve the place. These two photos are from the fairways but still unpleasant lies, 8-6-25, but it happens.

Course has improved dramatically over the past couple years - still has some needed improvements, but it was TERRIBLE about 3 years ago. My biggest complaint now is that they don't allow carts out past 4:30 in the summertime, for even 9 holes. Carts have to be back at the club house an hour to even two hours sometimes before dark. For reference, I went to play 9 holes, by myself, on a Sunday at 4:45 pm (gets dark at 7:30ish) and was told it was too late for carts to go out. It's ridiculous.

Giving four stars only because the course has improved quite a bit. Otherwise, 2 stars. If you book a tee time, do not expect a courtesy call from them pending weather conditions/course closure

Flew my boys over to Monroe for lunch/watch some college football and play some golf. We would up hitting on the driving range, but it was a great little facility. The grounds looked really nice and the fees were reasonable. The staff was very friendly and it was very convenient to the airport for us. We’ll plan to go back and play a round on the course for sure!
