Our daughter’s wedding weekend at Cypress Bend Resort was nothing short of magical, and our hearts are still so full from the incredible experience we had there. Melanie, the wedding coordinator, was truly the heart behind making this weekend so extraordinary. From the smallest details to the biggest moments, she handled everything with such grace, professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. You can tell this is not “just a job” to her — she pours her heart into what she does, and it shows in every interaction. Throughout the entire weekend, Melanie went above and beyond for not only our daughter and son-in-law, but for our entire family and guests as well. She anticipated needs before we even had to ask, kept everything running smoothly, calmed stressful moments, and made us feel completely supported every step of the way. Her kindness, patience, attention to detail, and dedication helped turn our daughter’s wedding into a truly unforgettable experience. I also want to recognize the front desk staff. They were incredibly accommodating, attentive, and genuinely cared about our wedding guests and making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. Of course, with any large wedding weekend there were a few hiccups along the way, but the way the staff handled everything exceeded our expectations. They addressed concerns quickly and professionally, which made all the difference. And the restaurant food? Absolutely amazing! Every meal we had was delicious. If you are considering a wedding venue, I highly recommend booking your wedding at Cypress Bend Resort. They helped make our daughter’s wedding weekend unforgettable, and we are beyond grateful for the memories made there.

Nice rooms, beautiful gardens of lilies. We could see part of the golf course and Texas across Toledo Bend plus the little island from our room. Our grands enjoyed the outside pool that you can swim under a glass wall to be in the inside pool. The only downside to our two night stay was when we (party of four adults and two children) decided to eat at the restaurant in the hotel, the wait time was one hour because the grill was being used to grill 200 burgers for a wedding party which we were not told when we ordered our drinks. So we paid full price for all the drinks and left. I mean a wedding takes planning and they (the hotel) should have been more prepared for the event and considered the guess of just the hotel also. With that being said we still enjoyed our stay there.

Room and location was good and quite, but I paid over $1300 for two suites and expected to have pillows and blankets for the pull out couch. When I went to the desk to ask for some they only had one blanket available and nothing else. We had to go buy our own. The trash was full when we checked into one of the rooms. No housekeeping came for one of the rooms I booked. I stayed here 6 months ago in same style room with a lot better experience. The pool was nice and we did enjoy the waking trail.

Hands down worst place I've ever stayed and last week I stayed at a Rodeway inn which was more accommodating. Getting here found out the elevator was out of service so after lugging our bags (with no assistance offered or a cart) all the way down the far end of the "resort" the AC was out in the hallway so we had beads of sweat running down our face it was so hot inside. There's no cell service so it was nice to find out the WiFi in the whole hotel was out. Went to the restaurant at 9:20pm to get food and after sitting there for 10 minutes trying to get someone's attention they told me the kitchen closed at 9:30pm even when on your website it says midnight so I had some nice Cheetos for dinner I got from the front desk. The AC in the room could barely kept up and took until 1am to finally cool the room down. For breakfast the buffet had no plates and got attitude from the server when I simply asked for one. Also was never told the breakfast was not complementary when I had a server running after me telling me I didn't pay which was surprising... when on your website it says it's complementary and your server also complained about the hotel that it says that on your site. Sunday was excited to sit by the pool and relax but nope.... the pool looked like it was a mad house filled with kids, people playing music on speakers and pop up tents by the pool. I've never been at a resort that allowed this and there's a reason. For dinner I wanted to try the restaurant again so I got there at 8:45pm just to find out the kitchen closed at 8:30pm. As I'm sitting there I look around and see families still waiting for their food. I was told the restaurant didn't start taking orders until 7:00pm and then closes at 8:30pm!? It's Memorial Day weekend and you didn't think to plan ahead and staff accordingly to where your guests feel slightly accommodated. Additional notes The water in the shower felt soapy it was so soft. The room smelt musty of mold and was pretty outdated. Paint pealing in the room and in the main lobby which just looks terrible. This place is ran by a bunch of small town folk that treat this place like a terrible 9-5 job and the attitude confirms it. Wyndham needs to send someone from management to train these people better, fix and update the place or just shut it down. They call it a Resort but honestly would have rather camped the to deal with them again. Best thing about this place is that I never have to come back. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This resort is definitely different than others. The views are amazing. The indoor/outdoor heated pool and hot tub are nice. There’s a spa but everytime I stay it’s never open. The bar is good, restaurant is great. There is no room service though and catching the restaurant open is tricky as well. I stay about 10-12 times a year. Sometimes I get rooms where the a/c doesn’t work properly and the rooms aren’t as dated as some make them out to be. Overall it’s a great place ! Definitely ck it out
