Was able to play this course after seeing it on golfnow app. Very nice course along with carts (gps) and club house. Friendly staff members. After reading reviews I was little worried about pace of play but we had a walking twosome directly infront of us and we still finished under 3 1/2hrs. Course was pretty busy as well, being a Wednesday. Tee times are reasonably priced, will definitely be back.

I wanted to like this place, but overall it was a pretty disappointing experience. The only real positives were the driving range and the pro shop staff, they were friendly, helpful, and honestly the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the course conditions were rough. It’s honestly ridiculous to charge a full greens fee when about half the greens have little to no grass. Putting surfaces were inconsistent at best and borderline unplayable in spots. The fairways weren’t much better, with native grass growing throughout, making it feel more like you were playing out of the rough even when you hit the fairway. The bunkers were also poorly maintained, with overgrowth around them that just adds to the neglected feel of the course. On top of that, there were no water stations anywhere on the course, which is a pretty big miss, especially in Louisiana heat. All in all, the staff and range are solid, but the course itself needs serious attention before it can justify what they’re charging.

My husband wanted me to ride along with him and the pro shop said that they do not allow riders on the weekends. If we had known this, we would’ve gone to a different course!! Please let people know that there are no riders on weekends!!

I don’t like giving a 3-star rating, but the drop is completely based on the greens, especially those on the back 9. Overall, the new clubhouse is beautiful, the range is nice, the carts (electric Club Car Onward) are awesome (matte dark green with custom designed seats). The course design is fun and challenging and the wind can really impact the course because of the lack of trees. It’s wide open with lots of trouble if you miss the fairways. Many elevated can make up and downs essential and undulated greens bring in potential 3-putts. However, before you start your round, the putting green kind of lets you know what the greens on the course are like: sparse and lots of dead or damaged areas. I’m not an expert, greenskeeper or superintendent; I’m just a golfer who wants to be able to take advantage of good approach shots and that was a challenge yesterday. We played the game the way it was intended, so we played everything as it lied and ended up with some really inconsistent and bouncy putts across dirt, dead spaces and some grass. We’ll be back, but not until mid-summer at the earliest.
