Description

Park Mammoth Golf Club showcases bold, contemporary shaping across dramatic karst-country terrain in south-central Kentucky. Wide fairways encourage aggressive driving, but green complexes and surrounds require precise iron play and deft short-game touch. The architecture emphasizes angles and width, rewarding players who choose thoughtful lines based on pin position and wind. Conditioning tends toward firm-and-fast, creating ground-game options and multiple ways to score. A dedicated practice campus and service-forward staff deliver a polished daily-fee experience.

Played the Little Mammoth par 3. Uniqueness: You get a “range cart” to get there(it’s not walking distance from check in), but you park it and leave it between the driving range and 1st hole of the par 3. Free access to the driving range, putting green, and chipping green. They also provide a free “Sunday bag” (the red one in photo) for you to not have to carry your full bag or clubs. I brought my own, which in glad I did because there isn’t much to those red ones. But hey, it’s a nice free option. Condition: Course was in great shape, tee boxes were good, fairways were fantastic, greens were huge and didn’t see any bad spots. Top tier shape even after a very hot/dry July. Difficultly: it’s a par 3 course, holes are between 85-125yards. Few bunkers, but lots of undulation on greens. If you don’t pin seek, you’ll be fine because missing on certain sides of the greens can be detrimental. Play it safe and it’s easy. I’d say 6/10 difficultly for a par 3. Pace: it’s probably the busiest day of the year for golf and this par 3 was wide open. A couple young golfers, but that’s part of playing on short courses. All in all, great pace. Cost: We drove up from Nashville specifically for this Par 3 course, was well worth it. Was $25/person. Would love to play at the 18 hole at some point too, but this was a great sample. Clubhouse: super super helpful and friendly staff. Met us in the parking lot and brought us a cart. Clubhouse was gorgeous and a great place for a post round brew and eat. The starter was a friendly guy and gave us some top tips.

What an incredible golf course. I love that the whole course is visible from so many high points and the routing just works so well with the land. The awesome green complexes here have both subtle and not-so-subtle elements to thrill and delight once the ball is on the ground. Park Mammoth has almost no water hazards to speak of, but beware the high native fescue! It can sometimes be just as penal as a pond in that same area! Love the new clubhouse, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. A clean sweat towel on the carts for each player is a really nice touch to elevate the experience, as well. For the last 3 years running, I’ve driven from four hours away to play the Extinction golf tournament here at Park Mammoth, and I’ve not once been disappointed! This place is a must-visit from anywhere within a day’s drive, maybe further!

Park Mammoth Golf Club is a scenic gem nestled in the Kentucky hills. The course is incredibly beautiful, with dramatic elevation changes and several breathtaking tee shots that make for a memorable round. Fairways and greens were in great shape, though the rough could be a bit inconsistent in places. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Pace of play was comfortable, and the layout offers a fun mix of challenges and vistas—especially on the back nine. Absolutely worth the visit.

This was my first time playing Park Mammoth and it has a mixed review from me. I’ll start with the positives first. I thought the course was in great shape and well maintained. The views on the course were great with the big hills and rolling terrain the course sits on. Everyone on the staff I talked to was nice and helpful. I found the course to be playable for golfers of all skill levels. Now for some negatives. I played on a weekend in July and the cost was $120. I found this to be a bit excessive for what the course offered. To start, the course was only 6,200 yds from the tips. So if you hit the ball 280+ it’s basically a driver, wedge, and putter course. Most of the yardage comes from the two par 3’s that play over 200 yds. Most of the fairways were like runways and didn’t really present much challenges. Unfortunately they had experienced a lot of rain/heat then so the greens were soft and slow. I would imagine they would be difficult during a different time of year though. It was 95 degrees and humid when I played and there was no water jugs on the course. Would think with the $120 price tag they would supply some hose water on the course for you. They supplied u with a bottle water at the start but that was all. Outside of the terrain of the property, I thought the course lacked in design. It didn’t really require a variety of shots. Was pretty much just bomb driver and grab one of your wedges. I did enjoy playing the course for the first time, but it didn’t leave me dying to come back to play it.

What a fantastic course! I had this place recommended by some local Golf pros, and I wasn't let down. Wide open and well-kept greens along with very helpful staff. Definitely worth a trip to see this place and play eighteen. Driving range and bulls are also included with your purchase for a helpful warm up.
