This state park has a lot of potential, nice shade trees, walking trails, water and electric sites. They also have restrooms, laundry, playgrounds and a golf course next door. However, many of the sites are VERY unlevel, many trailers were parked in the grass and not on the pad provided. There is a lot of trash around the park (our fire pit was full of the last peoples trash, they did clean it up after two night). We walked down to the lake and there was trash everywhere and some of it had been there a long time. The dump station is nice and clean but it has a sharp turn to get out so again people have driven over the grass to get out. The lady at checkin was very nice.

Amazing place, very clean campground, some of the cleanest showers/bathrooms I've ever seen. Camphost Jack was Amazing, always near by and willing to help. We never made it to the beach area, but paddleboarding on the lake was great! We will definitely be back.

We must have gone in the heat of tick season! Loved the scenery, the trails lead to beautiful waterfalls, the park is clean and quiet. The bathrooms were cleaned frequently, the staff hosts were always around and quick to bring firewood or ice. 4 stars due to the poison ivy everywhere, as well as the power on our site missing the 120v outlet, thankfully we had generous neighbors. Would recommend if your looking for a campground in the area.

I'm a repeat visitor to Grayson. Both times traveling on motorcycle. This is a very clean park with very clean bathrooms/showers. There's AC in the bathroom which is definitely a plus. Most recently, Dale was the host and he was kind enough to deliver a couple bundles of wood to our site. If you arrive after the attendant leaves, there's a drop box to pay for camping. There's a very short trail to the lake to cool off. Lots of RVs, but plenty of electric sites that are tucked away. Great park.

This is one of the most beautiful state parks we have ever stayed at. Everything was amazing and very clean. The golf course is absolutely fantastic! We will be back again!
