Course is not well maintained, crab grass everywhere and the overall landscaping overgrown and messy. Some holes you couldn’t even tell it was supposed to be a green. With the price being the same as some of the nice courses, we will not be back any time soon.

This golf course used to a great place to talk to your neighbors, but I’ve have had multiple complaints from friends that say that they no longer golf here since management has changed. I used to bike here for years as well, but I’ve been told since that I can no longer bike there. Perhaps it’s because I’m not paying. I did it on non busy days I should mention, and it’s public. Can I no longer walk there as well? I see people fishing too, but they don’t get told to go away. Multiple employees have told me that I wasn’t a nuisance, since I actually picked up trash from fellow golfers that couldn’t. I digress, they should put up signs that say no fishing, no biking, and no walking during golfing hours. A gate should be placed to block off the public. Lovely place to share if people will let you, but I guess not anymore! The constant construction is also an eyesore too. Also, the lack of park clean up is very messy, almost like people don’t know what trash cans are.

Great course, tons of fun, and challenging. Phenomenal prices, and well worth the money. I can’t tell you how much fun we had playing this course Sunday morning.

First I’m writing and scoring this course against public and daily fee golf in the Louisville area with similar price ranges, so no Nevel Mead and Heritage Hills. The improvements in this course from 25 to 26 are pretty amazing. The greens, while still improving, have made a great turnaround (see number 11). The fairways are coming in and are more consistent. Like all public courses in this category the rough will have clover and unwanted grasses, but not to the extent of other local favorites. New cart paths have definitely upgraded the experience ( hello Crossings). Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere are a plus. We are fortunate as a community to have public golf with the value we have, people in other markets would kill for this many choices and pricing. Again the 4 stars are against like courses. In my opinion, Sun Valley is competitive with Iroquois and Shawnee, better than the Crossings, but a notch below Hidden Creek and Seneca, all of which have same general pricing scheme + or- a few bucks.

Greens were nice me and the fellas loved playing there. We already set another tee time for the weekend.
