Heartland Golf Club has come along ways since hosting the Ben Hogan Tour back in 1990 when the course was known as Pine Valley. I've been playing out here for decades and the course has had many bad years with their conditions so I was forced to look elsewhere in the area for 2nd tier courses to play like Doe Valley, Lincoln Trail or Lindsey. With the addition of Cosmic Golf, the amazing putting course, renovated restaurant, bar and patio along with the new simulators, this as good as it gets in Elizabethtown Ky and the surrounding area. To my surprise, the golf course was well maintained and in decent shape. Some of the fairways and rough had a little too much clover for my liking but the healthiness and fullness of the fairway grass was very noticable than what I've seen in the past. Several fairways needed cutting but the greens were in excellent shape. They too were full and healthy and ran medium to medium slow. The cart paths and bunkers were in good condition too. I enjoyed this course much more now than back in the day. It's in way better condition than I can ever remember. With this aggressive expensive renovation, $55+ is pushing it on weekdays but needed revenue is a must to run this facility. I believe there are senior and military discounts available along with excellent deals on GN makes this a must play for the area. I give Heartland a 4.1 on this date 6/23/26.

They put a ton of money into the new venue. Besides my terrible golf abilities we had a blast. The food was okay, the hot brown egg rolls were not my jam. The service was good and the bartenders great. We will be back. Update: still a great place for Etown but the clubs are starting to show their wear. They need to keep the equipment maintained. Their pizzas and cheese curds have become our gotos!

The staff is awesome here. Course condition for the price is pretty good aside from a couple tee boxes. The downfall of this place is it's members. Driving through fairways and backwards on paths to to to other holes while you're trying to tee off. Blocking the clubhouse, 1 and 10 teebox with their personal carts. Do not attempt to try to get in a quick evening round. You'll be swarmed by the members and the course will be borderline unplayable

What an amazing time at Heartland! Staff are always helpful and great! Course is always beautiful. Looking forward to our next trip.
