Came down to Kansas for training and thought I’d check out the local golf courses. Buffalo dunes is as pretty as they come! Wasn’t planning on playing a round so I hopped on over to the cimarron golf club. First impressions coming in, dirt road leading to the clubhouse parking lot gives you a sense of where you’re at. Farm equipment and beautiful green grass is seen throughout the golf course . Parking lot/ clubhouse were clean ( a lot of people don’t value the cleanliness of a place but I surely do!) I met Chris the manager/club pro and he was an absolute delight. Come to find out this is 9hole course, we spoke for a minute about where I’m from and he talked me into playing the course ( didn’t take very much convincing lol). Club rental were Chris’s old clubs ( he apologized for the grips, but I didn’t mind) and he had a solid collection in the rental bag ( old ping driver, titelist cb irons, spalding putter). I paid $60 for the clubs, sleeve of balls,, cart rental, and winter greens fees for 9 holes, it would have been an extra $8-9 for 18! I finished the course in about an hour, met a couple young college kids playing a round and finagled feeling very satisfied scratching that golf itch I had! Thank you so much Chris and everyone at the cimarron golf club! Will definitely return next time I’m there! Keep up the hard work!

Great place in the middle of nowhere America! Kids friendly. Beginner friendly. It is very well kept and clean. Friendly staff. Enjoyed our visit!

Great bargain! I really appreciated the mounds around the greens and off the fairways. Greens were fast, big, and very nice to putt. The fairways were exceptional to hit from. The last hole is a challenge, 470 yards par 4, from the whites, wow, you would pray for a strong South wind to help you. This is as nice a course as you would like to play.

Not prepared for golfers. Carts weren't out. They were out of range balls and the young lady working the desk said she didn't know how to fill the range ball machine. She didn't make any attempt to try or to contact someone that could instruct her, but wanted to sit in the clubhouse and read. Took about 45 minutes to figure all of this out before we could start our round. Tee box ground was extremely soft and would not support a ball on the tee. Made it too difficult to play the round. Overall, not a good experience. Will not play there again.
