Class Reunion dinner was delicious, service was stellar, and it was a great experience! The space is nice, and we very much enjoyed the patio before as well as after dinner.

The facilities are great, but they’re limited on when food can be served. We ate there at lunch and we were the only ones there.

The wait staff and bar staff were amazing! Also, huge compliments to the chef!!! We had a party of 6 for dinner later in the evening and all of our meals were cooked to perfection. Our meals were absolutely some of the best we have ever had anywhere!!

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Sunnyside not due to the staff, facility or location but due to the leadership and management. We had signed an ongoing contract that had no validity or guarantee of the event actually taking place regardless of how long it had been planned. We had our first event planned for over 5 weeks before it's was supposed to happen and 6 days before the event (after it had been announced to 150 people) I received an email (not even a phone call) from Blake the GM, saying they were canceling our event next week and our entire contract. The reason behind cancelling was because the events coordinator "did not have the authority to approve the event." Based on planning emails weeks prior it was made clear that Blake (the GM) had been aware of the contract, the event, the pricing and the dates we were booked for 2-3 weeks prior to cancelling. Numerous other things went wrong and we were treated poorly. Finding a member of the board to bring attention to the situation was difficult but once we were put in contact with the former president (who seemed to have genuine concern about our experince) he put us in contact with the current president who didn't want to take time to discuss how we had been treated or the details of how everything unfolded. He mentioned it to Blake and it was dropped. I've been to numerous events here, it's a beautiful place with great food if the contract is honored, the space is actually reserved for your event... I'm not sure how they maintain memberships or create revenue with outside events. We live in walking distance from the clubhouse and after our recent experience no longer have any interest in doing business with or being members of Sunnyside. I really hope they get things smoothed over and seek new management.
