Description

A municipal staple with generous landing areas and sneaky-quick greens. At par-72 and ~6,800 yards, it's a fair test for all levels with ample tee options. The routing invites driver but demands smart second shots into guarded greens. Full practice amenities are available. Built in the late 1970s by Mark Mitchell.

I enjoy the the Golf course near my home, the wildlife alone, has my partner and I hanging out on the back patio just to see what species we will see next.. Reverend T.W. Moffitt @Marry, Bury, or Baptiste

While this Muni is fairly wide open and just a bit rough around the edges it is a fun, at times challenging 18 hole course. Greens were fairly fast and in great condition for it being very late summer. Because the course is so wide open and sits high, wind can and will play a role. Worth the money and time if you are in the Iowa lakes region.

Spencer Muni hosted 2019 Special Olympics. Thankful for their generosity which included free use of golf cart. Nice course with a reasonable degree of difficulty especially for high handicap golfers.

It's probably not high-end for progolfers, lol, but it works great for my family. It is more affordable compared to others. It's not hard to get Tee Time on the website.
