Founded in 1911 along the Maquoketa River corridor, this nine-hole course plays 3,009 yards to a par of 36. A century-old layout, it emphasizes accuracy over brute length with compact greens and mature trees. From the back tees it carries a 68.6 course rating and 120 slope (18-hole equivalent), signaling a fair but not punishing test. Practice areas are limited, keeping the focus on getting out to play. It's a historic community club that delivers quick, enjoyable rounds.

Excellently maintained and reasonably priced private course with a friendly laid back membership. So nice to have this in town!

What a great asset to Monticello! A good place to get acquainted with your neighbors in the wonderful small town of Monticello, Il. Brand new beautiful club house too! And the food is delicious! I highly recommend!

The pasta they served last night was great. The sauce was perfectly seasoned. And knowing Michelle, it's no surprise that they have a small but high-quality selection of wines to pair with any dinner.
