Santa and Mrs. Claus had a great time at the holiday brunch. Can't wait to come back next year maybe sporting a new look.

We had a wedding reception there and they were excellent to work with. The newly renovated dance/reception area looked great! The food was excellent and received many compliments from family and friends. They set up and tore down at the end of the night. Great venue for us!

Course and greens terrible shape. Rough lots of dead grass. Not worth 100, more like 30. Sad , course has potential, but poorly taken care of. No Cash?

If you are able to play as a guest, go for it. If you are thinking of becoming a member - go somewhere else! One of the most poorly ran clubs I've ever experienced. Management needs improvement, does not communicate, and clearly has no onboarding process for new members. Watch out for mystery charges and random fees. For being in Marshalltown, it's extremely cliquey. Also, everything I experienced has happened to every other member I ever met. Golf course changes have the course looking like a giant mini golf course. Cheers

We had an excellent experience at Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown. This is a beautiful, historic central Iowa course with a great mix of classic architecture, strategy, conditioning, and modern improvements. The course was in outstanding shape during our visit. From tee to green, everything was well maintained. The fairways were clean, the greens rolled very well, and the overall presentation of the property was impressive. One thing that really stood out was the amount of sand and waste areas throughout the course. They add a unique visual look, but also create a real challenge and make you think your way around the layout. Elmwood has a ton of character. The rolling terrain, strategic bunkering, unique tee markers, and green complexes all make the course fun to play without needing to rely only on length. It is the type of course where positioning matters, and it rewards smart shots. The clubhouse and amenities were also excellent. The large putting green behind the clubhouse, short-game area, and driving range are great for warming up or practicing. After the round, we stopped in for food and really enjoyed the clubhouse atmosphere. The cheese curds and Philly cheesesteak quesadilla were both great, and the dining and lounge areas make it feel like a place where members and guests can spend the whole day. Elmwood clearly has a lot of history, but it also has a very exciting future with the continued course improvements and new pool addition. It is easy to see why so many people recommended this course to us. Highly recommend checking out Elmwood if you are in Marshalltown or looking for a great central Iowa golf experience.
