Bear Creek in Forest City is an 18-hole public course that follows the Winnebago River, crossing it by seven bridges as the round unfolds. Opened in the late 1940s and later expanded, it now plays to a par-71 with multiple tees. The layout blends accessible front-nine scoring with a tighter, more strategic back nine featuring water and hardwoods. Conditioning is consistently solid and the course is a popular tournament host. Practice greens and a driving range support players of all levels.

Great course, great layout, greens a little rough, but other than that - FANTASTIC. Will play again next time I'm here.

Fun course and a short 2 Hour drive from Minneapolis. Love to come here in the spring before the Minnesota courses are open. Exceptionally friendly service as well

Love Bear Creek Golf Course! The front 9 here is a little more pitch and putt style, and the back 9 was added later on with much larger greens and a challenging layout. They host an amazing pro-am each year and have awesome staff. Julie does great work managing the clubhouse and keeping a fun golf environment.

Drove 2 hours to golf here the day before the 4th of July with a buddy who lives in the area fully expecting it to be quite busy with it being a holiday weekend. They had ZERO carts available for our tee time and all others after us and said there wouldn't be any more carts coming in for another 2 hours. Guy working was by himself, first week working there and had no idea what to do or how to make it right. Nice course but struggling big time on how to run it!
