Terrible cart paths, has GPS on carts which is nice, but the place is super crowded, I had to wait 20 minutes on every hole because a team of 4 was playing slow, I was 3 people behind and had to wait for the group of 4, and 2 groups of 1 to go before I could even t-up. The greens were also terrible, mostly dirt and super patchy. And guess what, for just the low low price of $60 I got the privilege to play on this amazing course for 18 holes, after 9 holes i almost went back into the club house to get a refund and leave early. And dont even get me started on the bugs. There were thousands of nats that where addicted to going into my ears and up my nose and i was covered in mosquito bites, by the end i skipped the 18th hole because I was getting attacked super bad by the nats and i was super itchy from the mosquito bites. Terrible experience would rather quit golf than to play on the course again.

This was my first visit. Very nice place. The fairways and greens were well kept. The only downfall, we showed up on a Tuesday and was unaware they didn’t open the doors until 11 AM. I arrived at 10 to warm up. Otherwise, this is a spectacular place. Very long course.

How the hell does this course not have a higher rating than the Rustic and Princeton Country Club? Easy five stars, solely due to the perfect layout, placement of trees, green conditions, and long par 5s. Don't let the others fool you, only under 50 people reviewed this course on Google. Judge it by what the thousands of people that played here think. It's reputation deserves to be much higher than what these paid haters say.

Cypress Hills has a challenging course that requires a person to be able to hit it straight. I enjoyed it a lot, but the number one complaint is the condition of the fairways, which is being re-sodded in places, but it could be an outstanding course if they get the grass in better condition. The Greens are excellent. The cost to go is the highest of the 34 courses I have went to in Illinois and Indiana at $52/18 holes during the week. That seemed excessive considering the conditions of the fairways. If the fairways get fixed, it might be the best course around this area. The GPS carts are top notch.
