Our group has been coming to Salt Creek for several years for an annual golf weekend, and unfortunately this latest trip was easily the worst experience we’ve had there. One of the biggest issues seemed to be a recently added GPS/pacing system on the carts. Throughout the round we kept receiving automated warnings claiming we were behind pace and could risk losing course privileges. The frustrating part was that the course itself was backed up, and every group ahead of us was waiting too. Even some of the staff acknowledged the system wasn’t functioning properly, yet the constant notifications continued all day. Instead of feeling welcomed, it felt like management was more focused on rushing golfers through the course than providing a good experience. That’s disappointing considering the amount of business large groups bring to this property every year between lodging, golf, food, and drinks. The course conditions were also noticeably worse than in past years. Several tee boxes were worn down badly, and many bunkers were filled with rocks and rough material instead of playable sand. Overall maintenance just didn’t match the price being charged for the trip. What makes this especially disappointing is that we’ve always enjoyed coming here and looked forward to this weekend every year. But between the aggressive pace monitoring, technical issues, and decline in course quality, our group agreed it’s time to move on and find another destination for future trips. It’s unfortunate because Salt Creek used to be a place we highly recommended. After this experience, that’s no longer the

What a wonderful experience. I played only the front nine so far, but the golf course is fun. It needs some work, but for my game, it’s more than sufficient. All the employees are genuinely interested in helping you have a great time.

Course management is not up to par. Pace of play was one of the biggest issues during our round. The course appears to be significantly overbooked, resulting in backups throughout the day. At several points there were multiple groups waiting on tee boxes, and we ultimately had to skip two holes because the delays became unreasonable. Rather than addressing the root cause of the problem through better tee time management, the course seemed more focused on sending warning messages through the cart GPS system. On a properly managed course, a four-hour round is standard. Here, poor scheduling and overcrowding made that impossible. The cart paths are also in rough condition and need significant attention. Combined with geofencing that appears to be poorly configured, carts were constantly being restricted in areas where they shouldn't have been. These issues only add to the slow pace of play and create unnecessary frustration for golfers. The tee boxes were disappointing as well. Many were uneven, poorly maintained, and did not reflect the quality expected from a course charging premium rates. This was my first visit, and the course clearly has potential. The layout is enjoyable and there are some strong holes. Unfortunately, it feels like ownership and management are more concerned with maximizing the number of tee times than maintaining course conditions and providing a quality golf experience. Until management addresses the overcrowding, course maintenance, and operational issues, it will be difficult to justify a return visit. Messages sent on the cart - as well sat behind a separate group in front of us. "Speed up your pace of play or we were not allowed you to play tomorrow" "Skip 2 holes or get kicked off the course" At the end of the day and in the long run, creating a positive experience for all guests is more important than stacking golfers up to maximize revenues when it ruins the experience. Rooms were solid, food was good, bartenders were fast and kind.

I came with my grandma and we had an amazing time but we were disappointed because we got there at 1pm and they sent us a text message that they are excited to have us so we put the code in the door and it didn’t work so we called the number and it said check in was at four so that was the only disappointing part overall service was great and the people at the bar made sure we were full tacos were fire and they made sure we liked the food. The rooms were very clean and kitchen was cleaned and they had a lot of kitchen utensils and the had salt and pepper so bring ur own seasoning. The golf course looks super nice and special definitely coming back.

Played a single round of golf here. Course was in okay shape given the conditions (lots of rain recently so everything was soggy). Lots and lots of bugs around since it was so wet, so bring bug spray or wait until things dry out if you're planning on playing here. Tee boxes were probably the most in need of work, almost impossible to find a level place to stand on any of them. Overall the course was roughly on par for what I would expect given the location and price. The website, however, was absolutely horrendous. Had to register for an account just to book a tee time. Got a badly formatted email full of typos and broken english to confirm my registration. After registering, no confirmation email gets sent either. So make sure to take a screenshot or you'll have to remember the password you used and log back into their terrible (and slow) website just to double check your tee time. Anyway, if you're in the area and not too picky about course conditions, it's worth playing. Especially if you can avoid the weekend crowds. No excuses for the slow website and terrible reservation system though.
