Eel River Golf Course is an absolute gem. The course is always in great shape, the layout is fun for every skill level, and the pace of play is consistently smooth. The staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about creating a great experience for every golfer who walks through the door. The clubhouse is clean and welcoming, the practice facilities are well-kept, and the overall atmosphere makes you want to come back again and again. Whether you’re out for a casual round, a league night, or a lesson, Eel River delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Food was terrible, clubhouse staff harassed us multiple times about whether our drinks were purchased there or not. Horrible experience. Have never played a course with such and intrusive and rude staff. Wouldn't recommend and will never return.

I enjoy playing the course but I am so over the sudden inconsistency with policy around extra riders/spectators and the rudeness of the older gentleman that runs the clubhouse. More often than not, when I play golf my wife comes with and rides in the cart. She doesn’t like to play, but enjoys the time together and the environment. When she comes, we only ever get a time that has less than four people because most courses don’t allow more than two carts per group and having four people plus a rider would require a third cart. Totally reasonable to not allow that. I know all courses have different policies about extra riders and I completely respect that, but the rapid change they seem to have made this year is beyond frustrating. I played a round on May 15th and they told me they don’t charge extra for an additional rider so long as its still a max of two carts per group. I was pleasantly surprised because most courses in the area allow it so long as they’re not fully booked and charge an additional cart fee. I went the very next day and was told that they allow it but you have to pay the extra cart fee. Okay, fine. That’s what I expected the first time anyway. It is now only three week later and when we get there, they now say that you have to pay double greens fees as if she was golfing regardless of whether she does or not. They weren’t busy, so I asked the older guy (knowing well that I was about to get enough attitude and snark to knock me flat on my butt, which I was right) if that was just today or certain times of the day/week/level of busy and he snapped that no it’s all the time now. We didn’t even play, we left and went to a different course. In all the rounds I’ve played here over the years, I have never once heard him say one nice, positive, or even remotely polite sentence to anyone, employee or customer. I’ve always been able to look past it because it’s a few minutes of bad experience to get to a couple hours of fun, but after today I’m just done.

Nice course at a fair price (senior weekdays 18 holes + 1/2 cart,$39). Owner has been upgrading the course for the past few years. Ideal for average golfers and not too punishing for errant shots.

Worst customer service I’ve ever had. Course looked like it was abandoned. Old man in the pro shop needs to be talked to. Completely unacceptable. Never going back.
