My first time golfing on a proper course. We booked it through Golf Now. Check-in was a breeze and the guy at the desk was very helpful and courteous. It was a great course for me as a beginner. I didn’t feel intimated at all and even learned a few tips to improve my game. It was a great experience and I had a wonderful time.

Great little course! Service is top notch! Even scrounged me up a snack even though they didn’t have any yet (rare nice day in mid March). We’ll be back!!

Sugar Creek is one of the better executive courses I've played for condition and layout. It's a good course for beginners and regulars alike. No Par 5s, and 4's are relatively short, but severely tilted greens and tall rough make for good defenses on all holes. I have two critiques for the course: 1. Because many beginners come out, I'd suggest keeping the rough short so folks can quickly find their ball and keep up the pace of play. I am a single digit handicap that went long on #1 and it took me a few minutes just to find my ball off the green. I'll caveat that it's been a wet spring, so perhaps it was tall because of the fast growing season. 2. For #3 You can't play a normal approach shot from the right half an already narrow fairway. Trees and OB line the left, and you're punching out if you're in the right rough, or having to hit a low runner from the right half of the fairway. I hate to suggest cutting down a big old tree, so I wont, but it's a tough hole, and bogey is a great score if you're not in the fairway off the tee.

Excellent friendly staff...Beautiful golf course..Extremely well maintained, challenging enough for the 14 handicapper and not to intimating for the higher handicapper...I am looking forward to returning multiple times....
