Great par 3 course with great fairways and challenging greens

Weber Park golf course is a great way to work on your short game, and get your daily fill of golf in just over an hour. This course is in very good shape and I cannot say enough good things about the grounds crew. They keep this course absolutely beautiful and there’s nothing easy about these well kept greens. Angela and others on the clubhouse are awesome and friendly. Give it a try!

I’ve been playing golf all my life and regularly visit the driving range and local courses to practice chipping and putting. Since moving to Skokie in 2016, I have often played a quick nine holes or enjoyed practicing at the Weber Center Golf Course. Today, however, I was surprised and disappointed to learn from the cashier that there is now a fee to use the practice green. In all my years playing at public golf courses, I have never had to pay to use a practice/chipping green. I could understand a fee for a premium course or for outstanding facilities, but that is not the case here. This course is beginner-friendly, so adding a separate fee to use the chipping green feels unnecessary and discouraging. Other area courses, like Chick Evans, still allow people to use their practice greens for free. I also checked the website and did not find any clear information about a chipping green fee, which only made the situation more confusing and frustrating. Sadly, if I now have to pay just to practice chipping at this course, I’ll take my business elsewhere. There are plenty of other options in the area.
