I discovered Tamarack about 3–4 months ago and, until yesterday, had really enjoyed playing there. The course is in great shape and, while it's a bit pricey, that's becoming the norm. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday completely changed my perception of your course. I've played more than 40 rounds of golf over the past 2–3 years, and yesterday was the first time I've ever been approached multiple times regarding pace of play. The marshal initially came over professionally and politely, explaining that he had received a call about our group. We apologized and immediately picked up the pace. In fact, when he came back around Hole 9, he thanked us and said he appreciated how much we had recovered. Later, around Hole 14, he approached us again and said we needed to keep moving, but also acknowledged that we were playing about as fast as we could given the conditions. It had rained, the course was cart-path only, and we were playing a 2-vs-2 scramble. We understood the concern and continued doing everything we could to keep pace. Then, while we were preparing to tee off on the 16th hole, with the group behind us still on the 15th tee box, an older employee came out and began yelling at us to hurry up. His tone was disrespectful and completely unnecessary. He repeatedly referred to it as "my course" and said things like, "You should be done by now." We are all grown men. I don't expect to be spoken to or treated that way by anyone, regardless of the circumstances. At that point, we were not holding anyone up, we weren't fooling around, and we had already responded to the marshal's earlier requests by increasing our pace. Instead of feeling like customers, we felt like we were being watched, singled out, and harassed. The interaction escalated to the point that two members of our foursome chose to leave before finishing the round because they didn't want the situation to get worse. I've never seen that happen before on a golf course. They were simply harassed off the course. The entire experience ruined what should have been an enjoyable day. We paid the same greens fees as everyone else and expected to be treated with the same level of respect. Whether intentional or not, the way we were treated completely changed my perception of Tamarack and its staff. It's especially disappointing because I had been recommending your course to friends throughout the Edwardsville and Glen Carbon area who had never played there. After this experience, I've shared what happened with them, and none of us plan to return or step foot on your course. Do not step foot on this course. Our tee time was scheduled at 7:12am- we stepped off the course at 11:30am.A normal round for 4 players especially on cart path only.

The course was in really good shape for a public course. The fairways were solid, but the greens and surrounding fringe were immaculate. Hardly a mark on them. Really impressed and will definitely return.

This golf course is in great shape I would of gave it 5 stars but there were a couple of temporary tees the fairways are like carpet, definitely recommend

Great course. Just played a game against Rick/Cody/Charlie/Brooks and in all honestly I wish I was them. I just couldn't keep up and anytime I got close they smacked me. I told Mom that one day I hope I can achieve that skill level. In the meantime, may I look up to their abilities always. And of course bend over whenever they ask.

Just played a game against the best golfers I know! I've never lost harder and don't look up to anyone more than Rick, Cody, Charlie, and Brooks. I wish I had an ounce of their golfing ability. Oh what I would give...
