Great course to bring out of town friends. The trees will know they aren't from the area and be their worst demise. Love the club house vibes.

A beautiful and smaller size golf course. Putting green for practice. No driving range. 18 beauriful holes,easy to walk. Carts are available. we play on the weekends. two of us with a cart is $57. Beverages and snack are available.

I'm doing work on mowers so first time meeting the owners. They are all about keeping the course in top notch shape and giving the public there money's worth.

Shamrock is a unique experience. It's a cozy, mature, family operated, very inexpensive, no-frills place to play relaxed golf and enjoy nature. You won't find a restaurant or a bar, water coolers on the tee boxes or even soft sand traps, but you will find shade from the tall trees lining the fairways and flowers blooming around the vintage clubhouse. It's a nostalgic experience, including the cash-only policy and the greens fees (as a senior I play 18 holes for $12!!! It's worth the drive to Kankakee just for that rate!). In terms of golf play, you get many par 3's some par 4's and a few par 5's. Very little water or hazards and practically nothing out of bounds. Is it challenging for a great golfer? No, but an inexpensive place to hone specialty strokes. It IS a great place for the casual golfer or mixed groups and the clientele is more social and inexperienced so every round can be an adventure! No tee times, no stress, just play for fun!
