This review will probably get deleted as it seems many negative ones have… I have tried to give this place so many chances after moving here a year ago and hearing how nice it’s going to be or is. In no way should this course be charging $65 or more for a round of golf. Cart fee alone is $25! We’ve had nothing but clear skies and a few weeks of rain before that so we expected the course to be in “championship” condition with the way other courses in the area are shaping up this time of year (late July) We were so wrong! To start, the driving range may as well be mats only cause there’s no grass on the practice tee. Massive bare spots in the fairway as well, with the fairways almost playing to rough length in some areas where grass is growing, bare spots covered in sand on greens, standing water in fairways (we’ve had no rain for over a week) bare and splotchy tees, and cart paths that are liable to throw your back out because of how broken down and gross they are. After living here a year and playing almost all the courses in the area including this one a handful of times, I can confidently say the only thing this place cares about is turning profit to support the owners other numerous ventures… they won’t get another dime of my money. Take your money to one of the numerous public courses in Carbondale or Murphysboro instead; you’ll be left much more content!

Course is in terrible condition. The driving range is all dirt. The tee boxes are all dirt no grass growing on them at all. The bunkers had grass growing in them. The fairways are all patchy you can't have a clean lie with grass. I'm an avid golfer and you're better off playing golf in a corn field. The greens are SUPER slow. The cart paths are all beat up. For the price of $65 plus it's not worth it, it's a $25 course at best. There's been a ton of rain to make the grass grow and there's none growing!

Not sure what’s happened over a calendar year but let’s stop marketing this as the primo spot in Southern Illinois to golf. Tee boxes, let’s just call a spade a spade, they are terrible. Greens were nice though, rolled true. Fairways were rough in some spots but that’s whatever. I have it as the 5th best location to golf in southern Illinois behind Apple Creek, hickory ridge, crab orchard and the rend lake complex. This is a $50 course, all day, and that’s okay. 7.2/10 overall from me. Used to be great, could be again!!

This course has the potential to be very nice but right now it isn't. We played here as part of an outing on April 11. The best part of this course are the greens, they were good. They are very big, were mown and rolled true for the most part. I say that because they had just undergone the spring aeration and were bumpy in spots. There are a lot of false fronts here so beware of that. The rest of the playing area is not good. The fairways look terrible. There are weeds everywhere and a lot of bare spots. I imagine that maybe the grass will come in in the next month or two as summer approaches. Don't know. Even with that they seem to get plenty of business. The clubhouse is very nice. I hope they are able to get this place in shape.

Let’s start the review on a positive note. The turn restaurant was nice friendly great selection and food was good. The BAD was really BAD. The course….. A round was $70. The course was hardly playable. Lost balls in the fairway in the clover. Greens were rough. Do not stop here. It is not worth playing.
