Sorry but find another course. Terrible shape. Worst shape I believe I have ever seen a golf course in; includes tees, fairways and greens. The higher ratings must be from a different time or maybe from a different course superintendent. Some greens are actually too small and difficult for most golfers. Also long par 3’s (175, 205) and par 4’s (432, 440, 441) on the back nine. The open sewer smell at the first tee is a nice touch too.

I want to give an enthusiastic two thumbs-up to all of the amazing staff & crew at The Marriott-Lincolnshire Crane’s Landing Golf Course. If anyone is searching for that perfect golfing experience, you needn’t look any further. I’ve been golfing for over 60 years & in my lifetime, I have had the good fortune to play on a variety of courses here in The States and all over the world. As I believe most golf enthusiasts would agree, there are numerous factors that can determine a great round of golf from one that might be better off forgotten! Out of all the venues I have played, Crane’s Landing consistently provides the most enjoyable, memorable golfing experience. Personal golfing abilities aside, Crane’s Landing definitely delivers nothing less than a great round of golf. The grounds are well maintained & the layout is fun to play. Most importantly, the management, staff & crew are always accommodating; Eric, the manager, goes out of his way to make sure my guests & I are well taken care of, and making a tee time is never a problem. My son & I have been golfing at Crane’s Landing every weekend for many years. In that time, I’ve also started golfing with my adult grandsons (who recently took up the sport), nephews, out of town family & friends. They all look forward to golfing at Crane’s & share the same enthusiasm for playing the course as I do. Many thanks again to the great folks at Crane’s Landing. I always look forward to golfing there & highly encourage other golfers who haven’t yet checked it out to make a tee time. You won’t be disappointed. Ernie Falk

Nice course friendly staff. We definitely enjoyed our round. Also had the pleasure of meeting Godzilla on #16. 😆

Either needs multimillion dollar repair and upgrade, or to close down. Maybe build townhouses on 1/2 of it and use the money to fix it up into a 9 hole course? It's next to the Des Plaines river, so maybe the threat of flooding makes it uneconomical and too risky to fix? The grass in my yard is in better shape than this course, which is really saying something.

I hate to do this, but I wish I had never spent money playing this course. The greens were TERRIBLE. Probably the worst I've ever seen. The course feels cramped. My cart broke down halfway through the round. They had a league start less than 2 hours into my tee time. I will not be back and I hope this saves a golfer or two from sharing the same fate. The surrounding area is beautiful, though. Its too bad the course is such garbage.
