Great price to golf decent clubhouse, nice fairways greens quick. Good time playing!

Nice course, great staff, especially Josh at the club house. The course is well maintained except for people failing to repair their divots and some water retention issues with heavy rains, which does make the mosquitos quite bad near the trees. I appreciate that there are native plants in groupings (theoretically to try to absorb the water), but they could definitely be increased and more varied.

I genuinely dont think I've ever not enjoyed a round at Arlington. For the price its such a delight. It's not the best conditions ever but certainly not bad enough for you to probably even think about. Layout is fun, holes are gettable, people are nice and most importantly the price is very good. I nearly forgot it's also one of the few stl area courses to have a dedicated short game facility

Went for a tee time this past Sunday at 2:52 and didn’t get to start until 3:15 because we had to wait on a group at the first hole, due to a guy walking his clubs with no golf cart. However, that’s beside the point. We get to hole 6 and the warden comes up to us and says “hey there’s no one at holes 7, 8 or 9 pick up your balls and go over there.” I politely tell him I’m not doing that if there’s no one waiting on us to play the hole. He then says he has people complaining at holes 1 and 2 saying it’s taking too long. Then he proceeds to go to the group behind us, who is a group of all black gentlemen and says the same thing to them. Again, if the hold up was at holes 1 and 2 why would you decide to go all the way to hole 6 and try to rush people? I paid just as much as everyone else and want to play golf uninterrupted. I don’t know if he targeted me because I am a minority but I couldn’t have been caught more off guard and it ruined my day. I ended up leaving after the 9th hole and won’t be returning. Look through the reviews and you’ll see this isn’t the first instance of this happening with minorities. Just post that you only allow whites to play on this course and call it a day.

I have always appreciated having Arlington right here in Granite City but I had a pretty sour experience recently that had nothing to do with the greens. To the owner: When your daughter is working in the clubhouse/ outside socializing with golfers, she really needs to be more aware of her surroundings. It is a small town, and you never know who is sitting nearby listening. Hearing her run her mouth and use constant foul language about people in our community is just bad for business. It makes the environment feel unprofessional and, frankly, a bit uncomfortable for customers who are just there to enjoy a day of golf. If I can offer a piece of advice: teach her a bit of diplomacy. Learning how to navigate public conversations and handle community ties with a little more grace will go a long way; not just for the golf course, but for her own professional future. A little discretion goes a long way.
