Probably the best VRBO we have rented so far. The condo was very clean, bright and for a 2 bedroom quite roomy with a nice lanai. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes and cooking utensils that you would need. Although we did not cook much it was nice to have a well supplied kitchen. The BBQ was also top of the line and well maintained. A good choice for a Maui vacation. The overall property was also well maintained and comfortable.

All things considered, it’s a solid golf course that’s fun to play. However, for the money, I’d have a hard time making it a stop on a 3-round trip. For same price as Wailea Emerald, it doesn’t compare. There is no one to wipe your clubs, the don’t drive you to the range, you hit off mats, range balls are not unlimited, etc.

CRITICAL SAFETY & FRAUD WARNING: Deceptive listing, hostile host, and zero platform accountability. We booked Unit C302 (owner calls this Ka'anapali Royal Luxury Plantation Golf Retreat) at Ka'anapali Royal under the impression it was an entire private condo, as the listing completely hid the fact that this is a SHARED space. Upon arrival, we discovered the owner lives onsite full-time in an upstairs bedroom. All common spaces, the kitchen, and living areas are shared with her and her dog; only our bedroom and bathroom were private. When we confronted her about this severe misrepresentation, her communication became incredibly rude, insulting, and verging on threatening, making us feel entirely unsafe. Worse, Booking.com has refused to issue a refund, hiding behind the "permission" of this dishonest owner. After researching, I discovered similar warning reviews dating back to 2024 for this exact unit—meaning Booking.com has knowingly allowed this bait-and-switch scam to continue for years without holding the owner accountable. Do not book Unit C302 under any circumstances. Both the host and Booking.com are enabling a fraudulent listing, and the host's volatile behavior makes it a dangerous environment for travelers.

We stayed in L 101 with 4 people. This condo is roomy. Private. Well stocked with all you need. Clean. Beds are comfortable. Beautiful view of the golf course and flowers. Quick walk to whalers village and beach. Easy access. Love the keypad entry.

KAANAPALI ROYAL B303 Nice condo with big rooms and housekeepers that do a FANTASTIC job keeping the home clean. The kitchen is poorly stocked with only 7 dinner plates available, worn cookware that left flecks of non-stick coating on our food, and very sparse utensils. No rice cooker, wok, or slow cooker and this should be illegal in Hawaii. Oven, grill, range, toaster, and coffee maker worked just fine. Master suite’s bed was horribly hard and uncomfortable. Pool was cloudy and had a lot of organics in it. It’s clear they are not treating or cleaning it Friday-Sunday. It’s also super warm and feels too much like dirty bath water to be refreshing. There are some low-life locals living here that are drunk all day and live off the dole. They were unpleasant to be around at the pool and were rude to the two families with little kids using the pool at the same time as us. Condo community has strict rules that put a slight damper on your vacation. Especially if you have kids.
