We golfed multiple days over the course of a week. Gold was really tough, well maintained and beautiful. Old blue was well kept, super fast greens and the easiest of the wailea courses. Emerald was by far my favorite. Beautiful views, kept up well the service and staff of the wailea golf courses is the crown jewel. The staff is incredible, friendly, helpful, supportive, encouraging. Just really exceptional people. Thank you to the amazing staff. Really made the experience Memorable.

When I called with questions about booking a tee time, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful from the very beginning. From the cart girl (I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name!) to Vicki, who got us checked in, everyone made us feel so welcomed. We played the Emerald Course and it was absolutely GORGEOUS! 🌴⛳️ The course was beautiful, well maintained, and such a fun experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking to play golf while visiting Maui!

Book it! From the amazing veiws, the spectacular course layout and pristine course conditions you will not find a better course. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and they really go the extra mile to make this a great place to play. I can't wait to book my next trip. Truly a bucket list golf course!

Wailea Golf Club is the best overall golf experience and courses on Maui. I typically play the Gold and Emerald courses several times a month. From arrival to finish, the entire staff is friendly and provides excellent customer service. The pro shop team is great, and the attendants who get you set up with a cart—and greet you when you finish—set the tone for a well-run operation. The starters are great and send you off with a smile. The practice facilities are convenient, with the driving range and putting area located close by. The courses are always in great condition, and the views are outstanding. You’re playing alongside the Pacific Ocean with elevation changes, swaying palms, and constant natural beauty—it’s a great golf environment. Pace of play is another strong point. A typical round with 2–4 players finishes in about 3.5 to 4 hours, and it’s rare to be waiting on tee shots. The carts are in excellent condition and equipped with GPS, and the beverage cart comes around frequently. I highly recommend getting a round in at Wailea Golf Club if you’re on Maui.

I give the gold course and golf club 3.5/5. The course was interesting, but nothing amazing. The ocean views were nice. The condition was poorer than I was expecting with some greens definitely needing some work. Greens were extremely slow. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice course, but not worth remotely close to the price tag. The guys standing outside the shop who deal with the carts were super kind and helpful. They got me out solo which was great. The starter was also very nice and conversational. Cool guy! What wasn't great though was when my wife wanted to come tag along and just jump in my golf cart for the last 4 holes, they wanted to charge her $40 USD. She asked over the phone if she could just join for free since its the last quarter of the round, the pace of play was fast (I finished my round in 3 hours) and the pro on the phone told her if she came in person to talk to the manager she could possibly get out for less than $40. I understand Wailea and Maui itself is an expensive place to vacation and nothing is free in life, but that's just nickel and diming where you shouldn't be, and its left a sour taste in my mouth that combined with the course conditions and price tag, I don't think I'd play here again.
