Fun little muni course up in the mountains. Club rentals for $20/set wasn’t bad. Used balls were $1.50 a pop. Fairways weren’t very distinct from the rough. It was the tee boxes, rough, and greens. May have caught them on an off day but there was a lot of cut grass around and on the greens. This is only getting a 3 due to the course condition. Overall it was fun. Has a lot of potential to be a really great course with a little extra effort and funding. If you’re looking for a fun getaway without breaking the bank, this is a great option.

Played here during a company's trip. The layout is nice for weekend golfers. The fairway grass here is really thick. It's challenging to utilize your irons correctly. The greens are terrible on most of the greens. The view is nice.

The course was a nice change from the ones I play in Florida. More elevation changes and not many water hazards. The fairways weren't like the ones I'm used to. The grass was pretty long. There were weeds in the greens but they rolled pretty well. The rest: The views were fantastic. The rental clubs were not great. I had never heard of that driver brand and it was a mixed bag but it was only $30. They hit the ball about as straight as my clubs :) There is no GPS on the carts so bring a range finder or GPS unit / watch. Also, they don't sell alcohol. BYOB.

Got out of meetings early and decided to the Pali a try. This course has a lot of potential unfortunately it doesn’t seem the city (muni course) is willing to spend the money. It is a somewhat easy and straightforward track, where 95% is dead straight which is good for beginners and families. And the views from around the course are amazing, and those that many courses would kill to have. As others have stated the staff is very friendly and welcoming which is always nice. Now the downside, there are no fairways, it’s like playing in a field that hasn’t been mowed and is being overtaken by weeds. The greens all are damaged in one form or another, and saying they are slow is an understatement. It was early Friday afternoon when I played , and there was a good amount of maintenance personnel I saw, unfortunately I’m not sure what they were doing. When finished I asked if they were in water restrictions, and was looked at like I was crazy. I’m disappointed that I had to pay $112 as a non-resident for a course in such poor shape with such potential. Unfortunately I will be avoiding this in future trips till I start to see things change. But if you want a “course” with some good views this definitely has it.

Windward Beauty with a Taste of History The Pali Golf Course in Kaneohe doesn't just offer a round of golf. It offers a round of golf below the exact ridgeline where King Kamehameha the Great unified the Hawaiian Islands in battle, one of the most consequential moments in Pacific history. Designed by Willard Wilkinson in 1953, this 18-hole municipal course has a natural terrain that no architect could have invented: rolling hills, dense valleys, a meandering stream, and trade winds that make every approach shot a conversation. Here's what struck us during our visit for Smartgolfcourses: the course has an extraordinary story to tell, and yet most golfers arrive, play, and leave without knowing a fraction of it. That's a missed opportunity. Not just for the course itself, but also for every sponsor, partner, or brand with a presence on the property. Context is one of the most underused assets in golf course marketing. When you give golfers a reason to care about where they are, not just what they're playing, everything changes. The windward side of Oahu has stories worth telling. The Pali is one of them. #GolfMarketing #HawaiiGolf #GolfIndustry #Smartgolfcourses #GolfTourism #Storytelling
