Awesome course. If you are able to golf here, DO IT!!! Elevated tee boxes on several holes. Amazing views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Holes 13 and 14 are incredible.

Know the Course — Research & Discovery Series by Smartgolfcourses. (See note at the end of this review.) Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course sits on the Mokapu Peninsula at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, framed on one side by the Ko'olau Mountains and on the other by the Pacific coastline. The design comes from William P. Bell, who laid out the original 18-hole, par-72 layout starting in the late 1930s. It is consistently voted the number one military golf course by Department of Defense patrons, and has been recognized as one of the finest military layouts in the world. The front nine plays through terrain shaped by the Ko'olau Range. The back nine follows the Pacific shoreline, including the signature par-4 13th hole, which runs parallel to the beach with ocean views and steady trade winds making every shot a genuine decision. The sand dunes along holes 13 through 15 are listed on the National Register of Historic Places — a detail that puts this course in rare company. Access requires military affiliation or sponsorship. Civilians can apply through the Public Partners Program at MCBH, though the process takes three to six weeks. The Klipper Grill on site, the dedicated driving range, and the 20,000 square-foot practice putting green make this a complete facility by any standard. Smartgolfcourses has been documenting the full golf landscape of Oahu, and the Kaneohe Klipper belongs on that map without question. PS: The Smartgolfcourses team has not visited Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course firsthand. This review is part of Know the Course, our Research & Discovery Series — based on documented research, verified public sources, and the course's established reputation within its community. Our rating reflects that research. We look forward to experiencing it directly one day, and to the conversations that might make that possible

Most beautiful course on the island in my opinion. Hole 13 and 14 are gorgeous! Went twice while on base.

If you love golf and ocean views, Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course should be on your Oʻahu list. Hole #13 alone is worth the trip—the view of the ocean is breathtaking and feels absolutely priceless. Standing on the tee with the sea stretching out in front of you is a reminder of why we love this game. Great course conditions, peaceful surroundings, and unforgettable scenery. This is pure joy for golfers and easily one of the must-play courses on the island.
