The course was in good shape, but the bunkers were really BAD I think people have forgotten what a rake is. Each bunker only had footprints in them. Very disappointed in poor golf etiquette

Really great course that is starting to get in better shape. I rated this at 3 stars two years ago and I’m still sticking there. The range was in terrible shape with multiple brands of range balls of various ages. You can see evidence of damage all around the course - not enough money to keep it maintained like it should be. The bunkers are generally in terrible shape with weeds, grass and even the liners visible in many cases. Weeds were pretty prevalent throughout as well. With all that - this is still a great track. The fairways and greens were in very good shape and the layout is awesome. It is fair but challenging. I don’t think it’s worth the $80 I paid to play - but it’s on the mend and I hope it continues to come back.

This is a fantastic layout/design. Friendly staff and decent pace of play. Only complaints are that many of the bunkers need to be redone and marked as ground under repair. Lots of the bunkers were overgrown with weeds and it made them difficult to rake or play out of. Also the greens were littered with pitch marks because other players weren’t repairing them. I’d recommend this course and go back but to be a Fazio design this needs some better maintenance.

The course was mostly in good condition. Our problem (group of 4 women) was a rude marshal who didn't get his facts straight about slow play. We had to wait on EVERY SINGLE HOLE 1 THROUGH 10 for a group of men. We were finishing hole 11 when the marshal said we needed to pick up the pace. One of the ladies tried to tell him we were waiting on the group in front of us. He incorrectly stated that they were on hole 14. We finished 11 and 12 and when we got to hole 13 the group of men that had been holding us up all day were just getting to 13 green. At best, the marshal misspoke; at worst he created a story to fit his narrative without knowing the actual situation.

I think there is a bar that must be cleared for a course to charge $100, and I don’t think The Frog rises to that level. Course is pretty worn and not taken care of, amenities not there for the price, and the pace of play was not great. If this were a $50 course, I would give it a 3. The price being charge demands more excellence.
